I think Jeeps deserve fun colors, and orange, yello and bikini are the most fun that there are. I've owned a lot of cars that weren't my first color choice because most of the cars I've owned were used and it was take it or leave it. But I get used to a color and it is OK. After all I buy the car to drive, not to sit and look at. I've been searching for a long time and haven't found a deal, my wife suggested a color that she likes that I haven't considered and I found one, but couldn't quite make the deal work. So I was very close to buying a vehicle in the color that is at the bottom of my list.

Not answering your question exactly, but I found my JL precisely as I would have ordered it, out of state...flew out to purchase it and made a 3k mile, 2 week road trip back (right in the middle of the C-19)... Punk'n Orange Rubicon! Charlie as it's affectionately called...some poor soul special ordered it and for some reason it fell through, even had his name on the build sheet...his loss was my gain.

PUNK'N ALL DAY.
Bikini is a nice color in some light, but can look weird in other light. my opinion.
PUNK'N looks freaking great in every light.

I went in for Ocean Blue and quickly changed my mind when I saw PUNK'N in person, when I bought it it was shining in a most beautiful orange sunset, I may have been a bit stoned but it was beautiful lol, caught my eye and I couldn't leave it there.

I feel you on this one. I have a potential solution for you though. It might sound stupid but I had a silver tj once that I didnt like the color but I swapped out the black vinyl decals that say “jeep wrangler” on the side for golden yellow ones. It added a pop of color that satisfied my want for years and only cost 20bucks. They sell really nice vinyl replacement decals on ebay for cheap in any color you could want.

I love green Jeeps and I ended up with a Firecracker.

Of 9 Wranglers I have owned, 4 were green, 3 were some sort of tan-beige, 1 was silver and 1 is red. And to my surprise, I really like it!

I like all those three colors you mention: Punk’n, Mojito and Bikini.

IMO, Bikini is a more sophisticated color, Punk’n is the more youthful color, and Mojito is just wild! So it all depends what mood you want to convey.

I am very particular about color. But I have yet to see a color that doesn't look good on a built Jeep.

To be honest when I first saw Punk'n it didn't really do anything for me. But I've seen some well-built ones since that have really blown me away.

So I agree with the others - customize it a little and make it pop and you will love it.
Have you ever seen Aqua Pearl Metallic on the YJ's? I had a 95 Rio Grande Edition and caught hell everywhere I went because of the color.

If you must have Bikini, check around and see how much a vinyl wrap would cost in that color. ;)
Yes, and the possibilities are crazy-cool with exotic colors that you will likely never see on another person's Jeep.

I understand the desire to have a Jeep that's unique; It makes it easier to find in parking lots, right? ;) The first thing I did, like the next morning after I picked up my Jeep from the dealership, was to change the wheels and tires. I know vanity is a sin, but I wanted my Jeep to look like my Jeep.

If a color change is out of the question, then the only thing that can change is your attitude, no? If you open yourself up to possibilities rather than situations, that helps, too. Asking questions instead of making statements is a useful problem-solving technique - e.g. "I wish I had a Bikini Jeep" versus "How can I personalize my Punk'n Jeep today?"

Doc... Duh.
I think some folks mentioned decals. Decal that puppy up! Whatever color you get you can go crazy on custom decals. They are actually pretty cheap and I can give you contacts for a design artist that can make whatever you want. This girl has done LOTS of work for me and did all the Charlie Brown decals on my Jeep.

This was how I got to know her. She did a family portrait for our 12th anniversary.
https://etsy.me/2MDS1K6. That’s the fam.

Send her work to @pixeldecals and slap it on. Boom. You too can have ridiculous Charlie Brown all over your jeep too. Lol.

It is pretty crazy how much car colors mean to us considering we spend most of our time inside the car lol but I get it.

I think it's so hard to be content these days with almost anything. Anybody who goes on the internet is just constantly bombarded by ads and videos and posts from people with things we don't have, and we eventually convinced ourselves we want them/need them.

My JLU is red and I love it. There are times when I'm like, "I wish I got Pumpkin because I don't see a lot of those," but then it's like... since when has my enjoyment of something been based on what others have? Seems kind of messed up when you step back and think about it.

Pretty sure that didn't answer your question at all, but there you have it haha

Never in my life have I “settled” on much of anything. That’s just not my style. So in the spirit of jeep color I too was very set on Mojito until ..... I saw the bikini pearl online. Oddly, I had never seen one on the road and with ordering a new Rubi out the window with Covid I expanded my search for dealers to a 500 mile radius and found one on a lot. When I got to the dealership and they pulled my ride out to the front my wife, daughter and I stood in amazement. This color is truly unique and gorgeous!

You may not have gotten your first choice in colors, but at least you stuck with the right number of doors.

That was my impression too but I don't think I've seen one in person either.

It’s odd as I’m sure you know.. once you own a Jeep you notice every one on the road The colors I NEVER see are Bikini and Yellow. I kind of like it that way to be honest.

Hello fellow Jeepers!

This might be a controversial post, and also a very stupid one, but I need to rant and my family is tired of hearing about this. So basically, owning a Wrangler has always been a dream of mine. Lime green is my favorite color so I'd dreamt of owning a Gecko green JK and then obviously a Mojito. Flash forward to late 2019, I finally have the opportunity to purchase my dream car, and I see a Bikini displayed outside the dealership and absolutely fell in love! I pushed Mojito aside and knew I had to have the Bikini. However, when I go inside, I find out they only have one 2019 2 door available and in Punk'n. Coincidentally, orange has always been my least favorite color (although I do like the color of Punkn as it's more of a blood orange shade). Anyway, I had no options as we only have one dealer in my country, and my only other option was ordering a 2020 model which would take months to arrive and cost me thousands more.

It has now been almost 5 months since I brought home my Punkn, and although I love driving it so much, I cannot help but feel sad when I think about how much more I would have liked it had it been in Bikini or even Mojito. It's a little upsetting knowing I was finally able to buy my dream car on my own, but it not being in a color I chose. I think it's also the fact that both shades are so uncommon here and I have yet to see a Bikini on the roads, but have seen multiple Punkns. I just know that when I see a Bikini on the roads, my heart will break.

So anyway, rant over! I just wanted to know if anyone had any similar experiences or advice on how to get over this stupid obsession. Does it get better?
First advice, if it was a lifelong dream vehicle and you fell in love with the bikini at first sight = go back and get that one or one similar. Anything else in your mind will be a I settled for ___ situation.

I'm really glad I decided to rant on here! Y'all are really cool and the replies genuinely made me feel better. Although I'm not one for major mods, I'm definitely going to customize my Jeep and try to make it my own, even if it's not to everyone's taste.

I've already looked into vinyl decals (as I cannot afford to get it dipped anytime soon), and just ordered my first pair. I'm adding little lime green accents to my Punk'n.. Odd, but it just might work! *fingers crossed*

She's gonna look like a little tangerine! (that's already her nickname so it works out)
