Do I even want to know what that means?
The Howl R1 is great. Got one about a month ago and love it. Bought the Ignik 10lb tank with growler and it's a solid set up. Any question just ask.
Yeah I feel like those should be included but I paid the extra $15 to get them. Without it the whole thing is super flimsy and you can't really move it around.
After seeing your moc-camp, I'm thinking my maximalist hi-back ARB chair or hydraulic rocker chair will clash with the minimalist itty bitty torch. The feng shui will be out of balance. Maybe if I put a 30 psi regulator on it to supercharge it?Ok did test #2 now with a full 5LB tank.

Set up is pretty quick. I brought out the camp chair also to test out real world height.
With the smaller tank it seems to want to stay at this level. If you turn it up more eventually the flames die down to this:
I had it going for about 45 minutes. A full tank should give me about 2.5 hours if I keep the flame this low. I guess I'll see how it does on the trip.
Yeah the one they provide is 20 psi. The bigger tank seemed to have less issue keeping the flame higher. Overall even the smaller tank is better than the LavaBox. Not sure what was going on there but I tried 3 different regulators and after 8 minutes the flame was down to nothing.
I have the Ignik case for the 5lb. That 20lb one is nice I just don't have room to bring a 20lb tank with me. I miss all the space I had in the back of the 2dr.
Understand completely. The 5lb would probably work for me as well. I set up for week long trips which I haven’t been doing. Three days is usually max and I could always throw in a few disposable 1lb tanks. If I had to do it over, that might be the way I would go. One thing I do know, is with 20lbs I can cook and have a fire without any concern at all.
I originally bought the Ignik for my campstove. It works really well for that. If you want it to supply a large fire it's gonna burn through it real quick.
The burn rate of propane is becoming more and more annoying to me. I have the Ignik original Firecan and the 5lb tank. It's ok for a single overnight but two nights is pushing it. Even one night is a challenge if you also want to fire it up in the morning chill.
That leg locker should definitely just be part of the kit. Do you carry propane mounted outside the Jeep also? For a bit I thought about getting a mount for my tiny propane tank and putting it on one side of my RSE spare tire rack but I ended up selling that also when I sold the Jeep.
I'll be reporting back after the trip. I only need it to last 2 nights for about 2 hours/night. I'm not sure I'll even get that as weather report says thunderstorms at the park this entire week.
