Hello,

I just purchased the Rock Slide EZ spare tire Mount and wanted to mount my 10lb propane tank on one of the sides. Looking at propane tank mounts, range anywhere from $50-300. I came across the Flame King T Rack Mount and since I have the Flame king propane tank, I figured it was worth looking into for only $50. Would you trust this mounted to the rear tire while doing some hard off-road trails? Or should I invest in one with more material making contact with the bottom of the bottle?!

Damn, wish that was available when I picked up the power tank one for a couple times the price.

Looks pretty similar. The powertank one has held tight on the side of my trailer for 15k miles, so I think you'll be in good shape. I've got rotopax on the RSE EZMount and it's pretty solid as well.

I just saw it pop up recently after looking for quite a while now. I was shocked at the price. I just picked up the EZ mount primarily for the propane since I have trailrax for Rotopax and midnight forest shower/water container. But will mount smaller Rotopax on the EZ mount when I have shorter trips or don’t feel like hooking up the whole trailrax system!

Ok I feel good, I’ll order, looks like it’ll get here Wednesday and I’m going up to hollister hills on Thursday so I’ll test it and report back! Thanks everyone

Not sure the hole patterns will match up, so you may need to do some drilling and add fasteners.

I'd recommend a test fit to confirm location with the tailgate swing since the tank has more depth than a rotopax.

I figured I’d have to do some drilling but after the Maximus-3, multiple rivnuts drilled into frame for MC sector shaft brace and track bar reinforcement bracket, drilled holes for LOD Sliders, cutting up the AAL MASS platform to add under cargo access, etc… I’ve got that down haha.

I was going to have the tank on the outside/driver side of spare since it weighs significantly less then the rotopax that will most likely go on hinge side.
