I have found something similar. I use Sunrider almost daily (with closing and opening at work), then fully folded on the weekends. whith the exception of the first two or three times I use bungees when fully down and the supplied straps in Sunrider. I haven’t contacted the dealer yet but it is only 4 months old so I am hoping it is covered.

This doesn’t look like the premium top. Is it the flash/lighting, or is this the regular sailcloth top?I have found something similar. I have the premium top, and I have noticed some spots on the top after having it down for a few days at a time. One area is where the top contacts the spare tire carrier. Other areas I haven't pinpointed where it happens when folded. I don't have any pics, I'll try to get some later. But when putting the top back, I can definitely see some areas where the fabric gets pinched in the folding arms, I can't imagine that's good for the fabric over time.
I'm trying to pretend it's not a big deal, but it does bother me when seeing it. I'll order some longer straps like in this thread. I've been using the factory supplied straps, but they don't do much to prevent movement.

I picked up my Soft Top last night and noticed there is some wear literally inside of the box. It has never been pulled out. Maybe wear isn't the best description and rather maybe its stretched or its hard to say but you can see where the something has stuck or pushed against the top as its a lighter color. I don't know the extent yet. I live in the MidWest and not sure if I am installing this year. Quite honestly Jeep is working on a 9 month ordeal that is requiring my Hard Top be replaced and I am hoping that sees resolution next week and didn't want to install Soft Top until I can confirm the Hard Top is trouble free. You wouldn't believe what a process this is or has been.

I have most 19000 miles on my jlur. anytime I drop the Top I put those velcro straps not only on the back but on the sides of the steel arms as well. I also make sure I pull the fabric out from underneath where the scissor arms slightly pinch the soft top and I have zero wear so far with all that mileage
