Premium Soft Top Wear

Sad day. Put the soft top back up because of all the rain headed this way and decided to take it to the dealer for its first oil change... Lo and behold, some significant wear on my soft top from where it folds.

I've had the top down for most of the summer except for a road trip to Colorado in June. I applied Bestop Twill Protect in mid-August and did not see this issue. I don't commute for work and don't have many miles since then, so I'm at a loss.

Showed it to the dealer, and they took some pictures. He said they'd submit a case to FCA - now for the waiting game.

I have been following this thread closely but had not seen anything like this yet.

Yep, looks like a pinch. Always watch for the cloth getting caught in the frame.

This is what it looks like when rolled back - I'm not sure what it would like in a "bad" position where it's more likely to be pinched.
