Power steering noise

Hey all, I have a 2025 JLU sport with manual transmission and I have a few questions. I’ll break them down into their own posts so things don’t get confusing.
This one is about power steering noise.

I’ve had the Jeep since July and it has 2700 miles on it. When I turn the wheel I am hearing a high pitched squeal/squeak which sounds like a hydraulic sound maybe? I don’t remember hearing this so I’m not sure If it’s normal. I may be paranoid a long with some of the other sounds I’m hearing but I want to get some opinions. It’s not crazy loud but I don’t remember hearing it previously.

Yeah same. Sounds like the hydraulic pump to me

My 2018 did not make this noise BUT my 2022 makes this noise every time I touch the steering wheel, super annoying especially with the windows down. Not sure if it's normal.

What’s wierd is that for 2 months I haven’t noticed it and now this week I’m hearing it.

Hopefully dumb question: Have you checked the power steering fluid level?

Belt driven power steering pumps will whine if fluid is low. It's likely the electric one in your Jeep will also.

Yeah, the power steering fluid is right at the max line
