Power Steering Noise

2023 JLU 3.6 MHEV - 400miles. Noise coming from front right engine compartment, sounds like power steering pump making a whirring noise similar to when you move the wheels on a remote control car. Assume this is normal based on other threads? Happens all the time but most noticeable when sitting at idle and barely turning the steering wheel. Letting go of the wheel at a stop and the noise goes away after about 3-5 seconds. Comes back immediately after slightly turning the wheel and goes away when letting go of the wheel….

Supposedly it's normal. Mine makes the same noise.

Record it, I don't hear anything from my power steering generally, I had a 20 3.6.

Did you check power steering fluid level?

Yes. It’s brand new and has 400 miles. Been making the noise from day one. I see on other threads this is “normal”. I don’t get it. It sounds like it has a vacuum leak or some type of electric power assist and literally sounds like a remote control car when you turn the wheels on a remote control car…

Very high pitched in the video and intermittent when we slightly turn the wheel. Fluid leaks on the floor from another car ?
