“Post your vibration sources”

Jeep Wrangler JL Post your rattle sources {filename}
Renamed to kid-friendly title, but let's not let this thread veer off topic. I know this group all too well. :)

I'm chasing a rattle and need some input.

We all hate chasing down deceptive sources of vibration. Please post sources/solutions so everyone may benefit and regain their sanity. My contribution:

Major one is the plastic trim piece above the rear AC vents that rattles at expansion joints and certain bumps.

Tried rubber isolation, doesn’t work so next solution is just using glue to keep it connected to the vents/center console assembly.

My back seat hinge squeaks when I hit a bump. The driver side window rattles when it’s partially down. Passenger side door panel has a little rattle when the weather is hot and there’s an unidentified rattle somewhere in the dash that I haven’t been able to isolate.

The best way to make sure a thread veers off topic is to insist that it must stay on topic. Changing the thread title to "DELETE THIS THREAD" also helps...just in case you were wondering.

I dropped a drill bit into the rear A/C vents the first time I was installing my Sunrider and now that damn thing rattles whenever I go up or down a hill.

I also have something related to steering that clunks a little bit sometimes. Haven't been able to lock down a specific cause, and nothing under there looks off.

100% stock or do you have aftermarket items in the interior that could come into play?

To assess my black box, does pressing the housing cause the vibration to cease? Or is it internal?

So far, all my rattles have been aftermarket induced.

Passenger freedom panel, rear outside latch. In my light research I've found no remedy beyond replacing the latch assembly
