Ok, it’s no secret that the EPA-mandated “no spill” fuel cap and spout (which, ironically, spills fuel - ok, maybe not so itonic, considering it was mandated by the government).

Anyway, to my point, I want to replace my rotapax cap “system” with just a plain cap (note for any EPA people reading this: it’s for SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES only).
I’ve tried some caps from EZ-Pour, with no success. The diesel rotopax cap mount seems larger than ones you can get on Amazon (probably because I don’t know what size I’m looking for)
Any recommendations?

These no-spill spouts are ridiculous. I never used to spill fuel when refilling my mower, but using these "new style" spouts, I always seem to spill a bit because once I see fuel in the filler neck, it overflows the tank before I can retract the mechanism to stop the flow of fuel.

Rotopax sells a clean flowing spout for their water containers that can be used on the gasoline containers but they cannot be used on the diesel. I tried.

Yeah, a spout isn't needed. I actually have a good one from ezpour already. It seems pretty clear that the inability to find an _actual_ cap is intentional. I’ll just stick with the 2-part shite that Rotopax gave (forced to give?) to me. I mean, what could POSSIBLY go wrong with a little bottlecap bobbin? There’s no way one of those will get lost or slip to the side and leak. I’m so thankful the federal government and the state of California are watching over me like a child. (Aye, a wee bitter)
