What is the warranty for paint? FCA should be taking care of the paint problems under goodwill since it is so wide spread.

Plus paint work always affects the value. FCA should be repairing under warranty and reimburse for diminished value.

A class action lawsuit is imminent.

5yrs/100,000 miles.
As long as the paint repair is done well, it shouldn't effect resale.
It's been talked about for a while, unknown if any class-actions have made it anywhere. Me, I would love to see a long long extended coverage for those effected by this corrosion.

Resin reinforced fiberglass or carbon fiber is heavier than stamped aluminum.

I would take a little extra weight, over the corrosion/bubbling paint issue, any time of any day.

So would I, but neither of us are that worried about CAFE numbers. Lighter weight is a major factor in fuel economy across fleets.

I have been waiting since Oct for body shop opening. Supposedly I am now next in line. Getting ridiculous.

Of course I was just told they will not be providing a loaner vehicle, since I didn't purchase my Wrangler from their dealership.

I’m in the same boat and have been working with @JeepCares for months and they’ve offered to cover 50% of the costs. While that may sound great to some people the job will cost upwards of $12,000 and I don’t have $6,000 to pay towards a problem that shouldn’t exist. Not happy to say the least. I paid that much for my last Jeep Cherokee XJ that I drove over 270,000 miles with no real mechanical or paint issues. This is clearly a defect from poor preparation so the customer should not take the hit. Period.

Well that doesn't seem fair. You know this is an ongoing problem, I've read countless stories the paint bubbles in the same area, the door hinges.
