6 years and 60k none yet. It does get waxed weekly and garage kept. Mojito.
I spoke too soon, instead of looking at it with googly eyes I looked today with retired Automotive Service Manager eyes. It seems some people have to go back 2 or 3 times to get "fixed".
I think I'll wait till the aftermarket comes up with a permanent repair.

I don’t think your meticulous care for the paint has anything to do with the outcome. The problem stems from poor paint prep at the factory. Sounds like you are fortunate, unlike the majority.

Exactly. It's not rust, it's corrosion from 2 different metals

You are correct. I'm not sure what I would do when they start popping up. If I have to buy new body panels to fix? I'd be forced to replace the Jeep I guess. I would join a class action law suit, it's their issue. I think I'll wait for the aftermarket to come out with a permanent repair

Another one, 2022 4xe Rubicon. Paint bubbles/corrosion all along hood edge. As well as bottom corner of driver door.

Repairs approved, parts ordered and delivered...now waiting for body shop appointment.
My condolences. But, good to hear they are fixing the issue. Just make sure they do it right.

‘20 Rubi JL. After having the hood edges and door hinges replaced the issue came back. The bubbling is all over the door edges. Luckily, the doors are being completely replaced in December. Jeep will NOT replace the hood unless there is a hole in it ( rusted through ) I am told by the dealership doing the work. I have one year left on the corrosion/ paint warranty so I’m bringing it in for even the slightest issue so it’s documented. Amazing to have such a rugged, well built off road vehicle only to have the outer shell with such poor quality. This company really went downhill.

Well, after several years of "Corrosion Free Life"(Post Corrosion Fixes), I just saw two hinge areas with slight corrosion. Either I just learn to live with it, sell the Jeep, or shell out a stupid amount for another fix.

Make sure each area is documented, on paper.

What is the warranty for paint? FCA should be taking care of the paint problems under goodwill since it is so wide spread.

Plus paint work always affects the value. FCA should be repairing under warranty and reimburse for diminished value.

A class action lawsuit is imminent.
