I'm 16 days in on my second body shop trip. no loaner which sucks. Last time all hinges, this time all hinges and leading edges on the hood. side of hood and seems on 3/4 doors. no update from the dealer and a timeline when I'll get it back. last time it took 14 months for some unknown reason.

pretty annoying as it was only 13 months between trips.

Look up my past posts in this thread for an exact time line. But my issues are now resolved.

August 2023 - took jeep to dealership for examination of the corrosion. They confirmed, said they would warranty, told me they would contact when hinges come in. They were going to replace hinges and repaint doors.

April 2024 - I never really followed up as it was recorded so didn't care about getting worse. I finally got back with the dealership. They asked me to come back in to reexamine. Told me that 'waiting' is a good stradegy because if it gets bad enough they can warranty the whole door. Upon examination, they said they would warranty all four doors, all hinges and even the hood. The hood had one tiny small pin prick of rust underneath on some seam. Was told it could be a year before all those parts are available.

April 2024 + about one week. - Dealership let me know ALL parts are in and available. Fastest year ever. LoL I'm sure the "year" estimate is just a CYA. They advised me to drop off the jeep and they would get it to the body shop.

May 2024 - about two weeks later. - Jeep is done and delivered. It looks fantastic and like new.

Yeah.. it's a sucky situation but I'm very happy with how my dealership handled the process. From what I gather in this thread.. satisfaction is very dependent on your dealership and how they handle it.

I'll gladley give a shout out to the service department at Performance Chrysler Jeep in Centerville Ohio. Also I know they sent it to Performance Collision Center in Cincinnati. Kudos to them as well.

Best of luck to the rest of you still fighting.

If they didn't use a cavity wax on the inside of the door seams, it may be a worthwhile thing to look into DIY'ing

Dropped my 2020 JLU off at the dealer yesterday. All doors & hinges have been sitting for a month waiting for paint shop appointment. Hood & hinges replaced last year.

Update!!! The Body Shop found bubbles around the windshield!!!! New frame on order!

The first trip to my dealer he stated, "no sense in trying to repair the problem will come back"!

I misread at first as in they wouldn't even do anything since it could come back. As opposed to replace, don't repair. Yeah, sounds like your dealer knows the right way as well.

. The current warranty policy is to replace the doors not repaint, especially with corrosion at the bottom of the door. Too many reoccurrence issues with repainting.

While doing a deep clean on my 2018 JLUR, noticed this for the 1st time today. Unacceptable for a vehicle I have religiously maintained since new. (54k miles) I guess I’m just sh!t out of luck at this point? @JeepCares is there anything you can do? Any goodwill campaign?

I have a 2018 as well, same color. Welcome to the "I am my own warranty club".
BTW, @JeepCares is considered an " Oxymoron".

I am still waiting to hear back from Jeep Cares - I called Jeep and was denied a claim for being one month out of corrosion warranty, it was even "fixed" a year ago and its back. Jeep only has 31k. If they refuse then i probably wont get it repainted. Seriously considering a paint matched LineX Ultra paint job. Jeep is paid off, never gonna sell it. Would be stronger than non factory paint. we will see.
