They do a good job and have lots of jeeps coming in with this issue.
Thanks. Just wanted to know who to avoid when my day comes

Oh, maybe I misunderstood your post then. You've been back 3 times because you're getting bubbles in different spots that haven't been fixed already? I thought you had to go back to get the hinges done again.

Did you buy from them?

Yes, different spots and different hinges. I bought new from a dealership in Mass but live in NH.

Glad they were willing to take care of you even tho you didn't buy from them. I live in NH but bought from Central in Raynham so I'm hoping it to find a dealer up here who will take care of mine when the time comes

2021 JL Islander 4DR "Yella"
I'm in Southern California and I have a '21 Islander in Hella Yella with paint problems on the hinges of the front driver's door (clear coat ring separation and a 'hole'), the edges of the bottom right of the driver's door, and on the hinges of the trunk door.

We even discovered there was some foam material stuck in between the hinge of the trunk door and the trunk surface where it rests upon that was painted yellow upon closer inspection. A deeper look and one can see that the hinges on this spot both weren't completely painted, to my shock and horror.

In addition, the doors on the drivers and passenger's side had too thick of a weld on the bottom edge, so the doors hit the side of the body on that weld "lip" and cause a black rub mark on the back on both the "lip" and the body of the vehicle.

I gotta admit the back part of the car on the trunk I didn't notice until all the other things started to crop up after a year of leasing this thing. I'm glad I was an idiot and leased this because I don't want to own it now due to all the paint concerns and the dealer putting their head in the sand about it until I physically show up (my dealer seriously will not take service reservations in the Jeep Wave app or on their website, and it's nearly impossible to get through on the phone with them, they're too busy). They aren't a body shop, so they only intake body requests on Monday at 10:00 AM and then they don't provide a loaner.

Document people. These dealerships will "run all over you" if you let them. It's a business to make the dealership money, not to provide a good product or service.

2020 Willys
Had my 2 door Willys for 2 and a half years. Bought it new early March of 2020. Tailgate hinges and both doors have issues. It’s black and has 29,000 miles. A bit of a letdown that this is happening. They are fixing hinges that have issues but who knows what will happen in the future when it won’t be covered under warranty.

I called today to check the status on my corrosion repair claim for my 2018 JLU for all the bad spots that they took pics of and submitted to Chrysler a couple weeks ago. I was told that Chrysler has now discontinued coverage for this issue for Jeeps outside of the 3yr/36k mile warranty. I am over on both sides of that. However, it still appears on the forums that some people with 2018 Jeeps are still getting this resolved with certain dealers. I am in PA and originally did not want to travel too far, but does anyone out there have a 2018 Jeep, or a newer one with over 36k miles and has a dealer that has successfully gotten this approved in PA or any surrounding States? I'd be willing to travel 500 miles if there's one out there that can get this approved and done for me. This is ridiculous.

2018 not 2028!!!!
We knew what you meant :) The sad thing is even if they do "fix" it, it will never be a permanent fix. Unfortunately yours is a prime example. It's always just going to keep popping out somewhere else. Might as well just strip, prep and cover over the whole Jeep with Rhino or Monstaliner. Would at least hide it a little better and when it shows up again, just clean off and refresh the coating. Horrible design, would love to see where the engineers or management that gave their approval on this design got their degrees from.

Hey, @JeepCares , are we going to ever see an end to this corrosion problem? Or, are they just playing the numbers game?? How much to fix damaged Jeeps vs. how much to design and produce it correctly.

My mother just bought a certified used 2018 sport that had a decent amount of corrosion at the hinges and bottom of the passenger door. Quick call up to our local dealership and got it all repaired under warranty. Just got it back from the body shop last week. Looks brand new now. Fingers crossed I don't see issues on my new 22 JLUR in a few years, time will tell. But that is what the warranty is for. Get it taken care of while you still can

I don't understand this whole business about dealers that don't want to service people that didn't buy from them. Plenty of people move and take their cars with them.

Yeah, well what happens when there is no more warranty and it comes back? That could be an expensive repair
