Naww, part of the purpose of my DIY bumper is to shave off a shit ton of weight in the front.

That's why eventually I'll be making my own aluminum L beam front bumper. A point to attach my winch, for under 50 lb. ;)
I can't imagine doing all of this to drop 50 lbs especially with the diesel engine. I'm just guessing here; I think you're changing this up because you love to tinker and try new things with your Jeep and can't keep your a** scratchers in your pockets so to speak. 🤣
I'm also guessing deep down you're probably holding back a little (understandable) I would love to see what you would do with an older Jeep - TJ or YJ. Something you can really cut loose on. I'm talking buck wild, mid evil, apocalypse, MADMAX style, something that screams WITNESS ME!!!!!!!!!

For sure going off-roading Monday. I think it's supposed to rain here in Texas on Monday, shouldn't affect me too much. :like:

@Ratbert will be happy.

Picked up this guy for monday. Hopefully we'll be able to go up that incline and see just how steep it really is with this digital inclinometer.

Also while I was on Amazon...

I picked up some 4" Niilight fog lights for my JK.

Seriously though they are designed for JK's, but I'll be using it on my JLUD. Not sure exactly how yet, but I'm kicking around some ideas. Probably something I'll decide for sure once I install my DIY bumper later this year.
Have fun!

Man, I don't miss having to deal with hurricanes. Hopefully it won't be too horrible.

Pretty slick. Any clue how it determines pitch and roll?

Last month we were at 28 degrees of off camber roll. Somewhat disturbing, but it was a gorgeous area outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.

I'm far enough north it will barely effect us. 280 miles north of Houston to be exact. That hurricane will be a cool breeze by the time it hits us. ;)
280 miles north of Houston? Guess where it's currently headed?

Not really related to anything, but I figure they can't remove a post on my build thread ...
Today I learned that they can't remove posts from @Tredsdert's build thread!

And something I can't quite remember about how great Toyota is.

I'm going to do my transfer case Sunday if I have time, otherwise I'll probably save it for the following weekend. Transfer case only takes a little less than two quarts, so I purchased a gallon size so that I have some for the next time.

I already know what people are going to say, I have the wrong differential oil.

I was just going to suggest that, if the EcoDiesel's transfer case requires ATF +4, as the manual specifies is required for the same on my 2.0T, then you'll want to ensure that the pictured ATF meets this particular standard.

Nice diff covers. I kept hem-hawing between those and the spicer covers, eventually went with the spicer covers just because they came in blue and didn't have a huge backorder at the time.

Here's to hoping you don't get some coincidentally timed locker issues like I did.

Unfortunately and maybe also ¿thankfully? My Wrangler is a Willys Sport, thus no lockers. However the EcoDiesel comes with a limited slip in the rear with the tow package. 😎
Heh, The brake-lock is actually pretty nice. I did one of the challenge-difficulty trails at Hot Springs OHV park with only that since my lockers weren't working.
