Going bumperless for a minute, will apply something to it later this week to keep it legal.

The LEDs underneath the headlights are my turn signals, the fender lights are side marker lights only.

Your red hood horns are history too! I guess you undid that a while back and I didn't realize it.

Yeah the red horns will be coming back whenever I get my next hood.

The winch as well, once I get that aluminum L-beam from McMaster-Car. Probably order it maybe this month, I don't know, we'll see.

To keep it legal I need something to go between those two metal frame pieces sticking out, otherwise it's really not considered a bumper. And in Texas you need a front bumper to keep it legal. So I'm just going to hit up home Depot after work and pick up some cheap wood or something. I don't know I'm still kicking around some ideas. I like the idea of Kim dried wood covered in truck bed liner, but we'll see.. again it would only be temporary until I get that aluminum L-Beam.

I was just going to suggest a 2x6 as a temporary solution for the front bumper. You could even put a nice stain on it!

I haven't found anything that says that bumpers are required in Texas. Blowing coal apparently is, but I can't find anything about bumpers.

Your Jeep also cracks me up. I can just imagine a 2x10 LVL beam bolted to the front with a couple 5" holes drilled through it with a hole saw to bolt some lights to it.

I really messed with my wife in November 2022 when she took out Fido with her 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

A few weeks prior, I had assessed what I needed, then the parts later came in, and I told her most was wrong…..and she’d have to drive it like this for a bit.
