I had previously ordered mine and just getting around to installing them now and found a YouTube video concerning the installation.

One thing I can say above all is you cannot rush the process you definitely need to allow enough time. Ended up accidentally cutting one of the items and needs to now order another set.

@Jeepster21

I was one, if not the first that installed the offering..

Matt the owner of R 3 was a forum sponsor. I have his door hinge paint protective film offering. Anyway, his offerings are very good. Also, excellent customer service.

I installed over 2.5 years ago and the film looks like new still and no hinge damage/chips in paint..

Great to hear about the film and I will definitely check out the link and read through the posts.

Anyone have the Plastic Door Sill Guards installed on their JLU?

If so, how have they worked out?
I have them on my JLUR. I think they are fine, but I have the step assist rub rail, so I can think of no reason to ever step on the door sill. As it is, I don’t even use the step to get in and out. I am also not lifted, with stock tires.

Was thinking of doing black XPEL tape over the lip plus the Mopar sill guards. For those that have done 3M PPF over the whole sill with the Mopar sill guards on top, how does it look and how is it holding up? I'm wondering how the clear PPF would look over the seam. Thanks.

No side step here but I have no reason to be stepping on the seals in order to get in.

Link I posted above are nice to have just in case but still should be well taken care of.

I prefer to mod my JLUR with OEM parts (when i can) so i used Xpel door guard tape to cover that area first and then install the Mopar black door sill guards. it now works and looks like it was designed without having a hodgepodge of different branded parts all over the place.

But you can't be sure your passengers won't do it.

My passengers respect my property and I kindly just let them know not to step on that when they're getting into the vehicle. ?
