After seeing no end of photos of JLs with comically oversized tires and the resultant poke, a stock and sensible aesthetic appears almost surreal.

Give me this one every day of the week and twice on Sunday. šŸ‘
BFG makes the KM3 in 7.5R16 and is releasing the KO3 in that size this year. It’s a 32 inch tire, equivalent of 210/90R16.

I found it, it's a Nissan Patrol. I'm not sure what year.

These just showed up yesterday (completely unexpected, since I ordered them Monday and haven’t gotten even an email confirmation!). Anyone ever found a good way to paint the lettering white? That’s one thing I’ll miss!

now I have to hope the weather stays warm enough for me to finish my experiment painting wheels, get them mounted and sell the old set of 285/70r17s!

Great looking tires! I think any oil-based paint pen will work, but it will not last. Tires with white lettering from the factory actually have a deep strip of white rubber in the tire so it remains white as it wears. A paint marker is going to require frequent reapplication.

I figure it will require "maintenance", but I can use it as an excuse to spend some time working on the Jeep. There's always a huge list of things to do, and this being visible might convince my wife that I NEED the time work on the Jeep.

The current list includes, at least:
- finish painting the wheels
- test fit the '24 grille I bought to see if it helps better route the winch wiring
- install the "Mopar premium wiper blades" or whatever they're called
- install the used KC lights I got last month
- ...

it is rare I have ever seen any hand painted letters that ever really looked good. I sure have been happy with my 255/85-17's.

Those look awesome! They could very well be my future tires. I realize there's no weight on them but, great day! They tower over your current 285/70.

There are white letter tire pens. I've used them for years. I don't think they're anything more than a regular paint pen. Its like everyone else said. They work and they look ok at first but they seem to fade and discolor fairly quick. If you don't mind reapplying you can make it work. I wish MT and other tire manufacturers offered more white lettering, I like it.

Thanks for the tips - will test the white lettering on a tire with a paint pen before mounting and then I'll decide. Not too worried about having to reapply often though, more about it looking good at all...

Where did you buy these. These are my next tire but the price tag has caused some hesitation.
