Post #34 is where I talked about the Kenda Klever RT's. They are 10.5 (slightly wider than your BB AT's) BUT, I was able to get them in a Load Range D. Don't know If I would want an E range on such a light vehicle. But I am no expert :) The RT's are sweet!

Recently got back from a Moab/CO trip. They performed admirably!!! The only obstacle you might have heard of that I was on, was the "WALL" on Poughkeepsie Gulch. Made it up, no bypass. This vid shows one failure and then the success. I saved the vid at the success.

Also, they deform nicely at 13PSI :)

One of our group cut his sidewall right before The Lake on Poughkeepsie. Luckily, a double thickness patch held up till we were done for the day. Must have been in the right spot for the sidewall repair to work.

I have posted this before but will do it again here. I run two sets of tires as it is easy to switch for whatever I am wanting to do that way. both sets are Mickey Thompson baja bosses the 255/85-17 in AT's and the 35/12.5-17 in MT's. you can see there is very little difference in overall height. I like them equally. I know it goes against common believe but there really is no difference in mpg and the MT's are actually seem slightly quieter.

That's pretty cool. Occasionally I've read on here about guys who swap 35s for 37s for the commute vs. weekend, but I always thought that'd be annoying with the speedometer, etc. Never thought about swapping wide for narrow! It doesn't require any further changes on the Jeep. Love it.

Skinny wheels 17 x 6.5"

I have come full circle back to Vision steel wheels. I was hopefull maybe some new skinny wheel options would surface but that doesn't appear to be happening.

Jeep 2 door sport 3.6 etorque 3797lbs, I think.
Rear bumper, 50lbs
Front bumper, 65lbs
Winch, 76lbs
Misc recovery gear, 100lbs
Total, 4088lbs
Each Wheel: 1550lbs x 4 = 6200lbs
A difference of 2112lbs.

Am I looking at this correctly, any thoughts on these numbers? Any concerns these wheels are not strong enough?

If you're still sticking with MTs, have you considered the 16x6.5 wheels with a 255/85R16 like the Yokohama Geolander G003? Old school look. You'd have to test fit a wheel to see if it fits -- I think it'll be close, and it may not, but a possibility.

If I buy new wheels I'm planning to transfer my current tires onto them. I did see Dorman steel wheels in 16x6.5 a very similar style wheel to the Vision.
Yes, I like the old school look too. 👍
