The more I see videos of those early Jeeps, the more I want to buy one. Goats, basically.
I know right. That was very impressive!

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in the 285/75R17 size, mounted on the stock Rubicon rims, installed on my 2021 JLUR. They are the same width as the stock 33" tires, but an inch taller at 34" X 11.5" nominal size.

These are a great fit for a stock JL Rubicon. They fill out the wheel wells nicely. No rubbing at full flex. But, they look too small if your Jeep is lifted 2" or more.

I don't know if they will fit a stock Sport or Sahara.

I have a brief review and further comments in my build thread.

Well when time is right, I am going with 275-70-18 and a 1.75" puck lift on my Sahara 6sp. That probably falls into the slight pizza cutter category. Can't really go bigger without a regear owning to the 6sp and shotty 3.45 gears...

I think that's a very good tire size. When I had my TJ, I ran 33x10.5r15 it was fantastic!

me love some pizza......stock wheel and tire was 74lbs so going pizza gained me some lbs at 88lbs now....but sure are taller....measure 34" mounted on the jeep. My Toyo RT 35/12.5-17 measured 33.5"...these were smooth and quiet on the interstate at 70-75mph. My speedo is off by 4-5mph so need to get that corrected. Have a procal snap coming in my AEV lift should be here monday...

Here are a couple "First Dirt" photos of my otherwise stock 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon with Toyo Open Country ??? On-/Off Road All-Terrain Tire size 34x10.50R17LT.

True size (from Toyo) 33.5x10.6R17.

I wanted a little bit taller and narrower than the OE KO2 285/70R17 tires. This was the compromise judging gearing, price, quality, and reviews for me.

Toyo specs:
Load / Speed 120S
Load ID (range) D
Sidewall BSW
Product Code 356970
Approved Rim Width Range (in.) 7.0-8.5-9.0
Weight (lbs.) 55
Tread Depth (1/32") 15.6
Inflated Overall Diameter (in.) 33.5
Inflated Overall Width (in.) 10.6
Max Load Single (LBS.) 3085
Max Pressure Single (PSI) 65
Revs Per Mile 620

I am pleased with the look (more each day) and the road manners. Not so narrow that they look 'funny' and that extra 3/4" height makes more of a visual difference than I thought it would.

I normally don't do rock crawling but I did Rocky Gap (Jeep Badge of Honor near Las Vegas) on the original 285/70R17 K02 tires I'm going again in April and see if there's much of a difference from the K02 and Toyo Open Country ??? on the trail.

My next will be Pizza Cutters. I am looking into 34 or 35 X 10ish. The Kendas are high on my list but I will keep an eye on this thread and see what pops up between now and when I can justify buying new.

They look great! I really think that is the perfect size for stock or near-stock Jeeps.

I think it is! If I were going to 35s that's the only tire I'd run. Lots of Toyota folks run them too with good reviews (easier for them to clear on the IFS).
