Pic Request: Pre Runner Grill Lights

Went to install the Quadratec version today. This is unlike the Oracle version which installs via 2 washers sandwiching the grille.

From what I'm seeing, it looks like my 21 JL (2.0 turbo with front camera) features the JT grille. As such, the Quadtatec version will not work right out of the box. To be continued.

I never heard back from Quadratec. Was able to make it work using a combo of some rubber washers and hose clamps. Sorry, I forgot to grab a pic before install, but I'm sure you get the idea. Still deciding on placement as I'm not loving them mid-grill. The plug and play of the @Quadratec kit is really convenient.

Just finish installing mine in right now.. I use zip ties to hold my lights in tight .. two zip tipes per light to hold them in pretty tight, since my Jeep doesn’t have the camera , I was able to install them a little higher on the grill

How far inward towards the radiator do the qtech lights go?

Exact question here! curious if the 4 light set up will work. I didnt even think about the splicing of the quadtratec set up.

Curious if you start cutting and splicing if it would just be worth making your own set. Obviously biggest benefit of Quadtratec setup is the wiring harness.

They prob used a 4 and a 6 in the fenders.

Bump, was looking for a solution myself and saw oracle lighting has an option now where it can mount above the factory trail cam! Vid below posted 3 mo ago. I will be going this route myself!

If you have the front trail cam go with these new versions that fit snug perfectly above the trail cam.

Just installed these lights on my 2021 JLUR 4xe this past weekend, and I love how they look at night! ORACLE did a fantastic job with designing the newer/universal version of the pre-runner lights. The older version of the ORACLE pre-runner lights for JL or JT fit the bill when there was nothing else out there, but eventually, the washers used to stabilize the lights would rust if you lived in a place where it snows (or at least my brother-in-law's JT had washer rusting issues).

Anyway, in order to get the two lateral most lights on each side to sit as high as the middle three lights, I had to use a Dremel tool to grind the top most horizontal grille honeycomb. If you are trying to install the three lights in the position that the video shows, you might be able to get away with forcing the connector plug through the honeycomb (or temporarily de-pin the plug), but the light housing/enclosure (where the power wire exits) won't let you install the lights as deep into the grille.

I made my own version of the Pre-runner lights for my 2020. No holes drilled, no zip ties to hold them in place, no visible wires, and no T-taps into the factory wires or running a wire to the fuse box. I took them off before I traded it in.

I finally figured out a way to install them on the 2024. I have all the parts rounded up now, I just got to get busy and get it done.
