I received word from the Fort Collins Jeep dealer that they received my electronic sway bar disconnect kit. They scheduled me to have it replaced on Friday, April 8. I haven't seen the message in the last week or so but I haven't been driving much, The Rona and all you know.

I’m rather new to the Jeep world (picked up my Willys 12/16). I’ve followed this thread from the beginning even though it doesn’t apply to me (drive a 3.6l) as it was interesting. I assumed it would be a rather quick fix once more people started reporting it. I’m floored to keep seeing posts from members that their dealer service has no idea what it is or what may cause it. I work in the aerospace industry and we have LOTS of Warnings, Cautions, and Advisories (WCA’s) that can pop up on the displays. They are all software/logic driven (if ā€œxā€happens then issue ā€œxā€ WCA). Of course the software could also be looking at a multitude of other variables (speed, brake applied etc) but in the end it’s coded logic. I can tell you the initiator / aircraft state / cause for EVERY WCA that pops up on our screen. It may trace to a couple of different things but they are known. With all the software used in cars today, it’s the same. There should be no reason to guess or try to figure out what’s causing the light. I would assume that Jeep has roving engineering teams and/or dealer service direct call in lines to connect to a field service engineer to answer just these type of questions. Once it’s answered the first time, then just send the info out in service letter blast to all dealerships. It’s absolutely baffling to me why this is so hard to ā€œdiagnoseā€. Clearly a major disconnect (likely not a sway bar kind) between service and the factory that is causing undue pain and aggravation to customers. Crazy stuff.

I don't think it's necessarily hard to diagnose. I think no one cares enough to work on it and escalate to people who know something. In general, a dealership couldn't care less about their customer.

Add me to the list. 2022 JLU Willys. ~1,600 miles. I have seen it twice, each time as others have stated for about 5 seconds before it clears and leaves no stored code/message. Curious to see if it gets resolved. As it doesn't store and I notice no change in performance I keep driving it as normal for now.

Having the same issue - 2022 JLUW. However, I am getting hesitation at higher RPMs (feels like a fuel cut). Service at my dealership has never seen the issue, but are willing to figure it out and make it right for me. Hopefully they can figure it out.

It is probably entirely impossible for the dealership themselves to diagnose other than to reach the conclusion that there is a software problem. No codes, no data, no actual performance limitation, intermittent, only affecting a single model year. The shop would be left with nothing to do but push it off and wait for corporate to send an update.

Some people are having performance issues including myself. I’ve had the car fuel cut and lurch me forward in my seat, and it breaks up when getting high up in the RPMs.

If anyone has any luck getting it fixed, it will be those like you with a real, identifiable problem.

So I haven't really followed this thread too much, but as I recall this was only an issue with 2.0T, yes? If it's specific to a particular motor, I wonder why they would deduce the issue is caused by a part on several other vehicles that don't exhibit the issue. Or did the eTorque and MT variations start having issues too?

So far, only 2.0L '22 models have experienced this. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it in about 2 weeks.

I had my sway bar and electronic sway bar disconnect replaced by the dealer on Monday. On the way home from the dealer, I got the message on my dash cluster. I'm not surprised honestly. I let them know today. No one knows next steps. I've asked for the STAR team (engineering team at FCA I understand) to be engaged.

Its not on her to check the fuses. She needs to drop the thing off at the dealer and not pick it up until they fix it.
I would rather do simple things, like check the fuses, so my Jeep wouldn't sit at the dealer for a week...

"Silly peasant, take it to your dealer. You're dealer is omniscient and omnipotent. You are not worthy to work on your own vehicle or voice your opinion if it disagrees with mine" - my best mwilk impression :D

Dealers are incompetent morons. You must not be very familiar with my posts.

the fuse seating thing is a myth.
