It’s always been that way for me with warranty work. I have always been asked to agree to pay in case it turns out to be something that is not covered. Not a fan of this.

Hi jeepblogger,My leased 2018 JLU with 5000 miles lost power the other day so I had it towed to the local dealership. They called me yesterday to say there is a leak in the (manual) transmission and that due to Chrysler rules I have to authorize them to charge me at $135/hour for 9 hours just to investigate it in case there was abuse. I refused even though I'm the only person who drives it so I know 100% there has been no abuse.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?? It's a lease and under warranty!
Haha I normally sneak out in the middle of the night to hand wash the undercarriage thoroughly before my service appointment next morning. It’s so clean that you can literally lick it before taking it in to the shop.Wash your damn Jeep before you take it in to the dealership. It makes you look bad and it makes working on it a pain in the ass.
You gotta be kidding me. It crapped out on the freeway.Wash your damn Jeep before you take it in to the dealership. It makes you look bad and it makes working on it a pain in the ass.
Have it towed home then get Jeep to pay for the tow. Dealerships love any excuse they can get to not do warranty work, off roading is a great one.You gotta be kidding me. It crapped out on the freeway.
