Hi guys! So I’ve been having overheating issues on my 2015 wrangler sport it started out as a thermostat and radiator leak no foreseen water pump issues so I fixed that and replaced them. No overheating issues after that until on interstate, so then at about 75MPH got to about 250 degrees maintaining at about 3500 rpm’s and went into limp mode a few times. The only mods done to my wrangler is a 4’ lift kit with 35x12.5x20 tires. I’m assuming the tires could be an issue or water pump like I didn’t expect…..but definitely don’t know where else to go.I might add Doesn’t overheat around town and stays at normal temps.

Welcome to the Forum, from Cave Creek AZ.

What antifreeze, did you put back in it? OAT 50/50 pre-dilute is what is required. Did you replace the radiator cap, and flush out the coolant overflow bottle? Did you bleed out all of the air from the cooling system. There is somewhat of a challenge to get all of the air bleed out..FYI
How about something blocking the CFM air flow, to the radiator, like a winch, bar with lights on it, mesh insert?

I took it in to a well known 4x4 mechanic in my area and he assured me this was all done I looked at all the parts he used as well and it is all mopar parts and pre mixed antifreeze. Could be possible there still is air inside even after all this as well I’ll consider it for sure because I am stressing out and have no idea what else to look for in this situation.

Are you absolutely certain that the thermostat has been replaced and not installed backwards? Also, I've seen new thermostats that did not open fully. Never assume a new thermostat is working perfectly. I always boil water and drop my new ones in to verify it functions/opens correctly before installing.

Not getting all the air out of the system is probably the easiest explaination and pretty easy to resolve.

Even though they put in genuine Mopar anti-freeze, they could have used the wrong anti-freeze.

2012/2013 is the cut-off point for the HOAT to OAT transition.

Not saying it is either of those, they're just possibilities.

I have no doubt that’s what it could be just burp the system. Yeah but I appreciate y’all it’s been a rough two-three weeks anything is a possibility and I’m taking them all into consideration and going over as we speak.
