You’re the winner! 4 months of issues have plagued me, and the solution was the black coolant tank. I’m not sure how it got low, but I feel foolish throwing money at other things they never fixed the issue. Thank you so much for your help.
Keep an eye on the level. You may need to top it off a couple of times before it is at the proper level. I bought my Jeep used last summer and fairly recently checked mine and added about 1/3 of a gallon of coolant. After a couple of small top off’s, I haven’t had to add any more and I’ve checked it several times.

I too had to periodically add a few ounces of 50/50 OAT coolant, when the vehicle was still newish. Thus the importance of periodic monitoring of all of the vehicle's fluids.

Eventually, the coolant level stabilized and it's been good ever since. I've never noticed a stray drop of coolant (i.e., leaking) in the engine bay or on the garage floor.

My theory is that there's a bit of air in the cooling circuit due to imperfect/imprecise filling at the factory, which reconciles over time. I say this because there's any number of fellow 2.0T owners who've been reporting the same thing as I've done here, for several years now.

Some older vehicles prefer Neutral at long stop lights/train crossings during high ambient temps. Leaving the transmission in Drive creates more heat. Unknown if the problem applies to newer transmissions.

This is not applicable in any way to a modern vehicle.

Look at the RPM Extreme fan controller. Complete game changer for coolant and oil temperature regulation. It's good enough that I've put it in both of our JLURs - one built and one stock, and two of my trail buddies have it installed in their Rubicons now.
This !
A fan controller is the answer. Lower and more consistent temps.

We had this happen yesterday. 2024 JLU 2.0T with 11k miles. It’s at the dealer being diagnosed.
