Agreed. The C-shaped optic of the red LED lens design is of a time and place. Said differently, it will eventually look dated. That said, the small rectangular LED panel serving as the reverse lighting function is remarkably bright for its size.

When backing up in complete darkness, the driver could be forgiven for thinking that his path is being illuminated by two small headlights. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but hopefully other owners will back me up (ha) here. The reverse light functionality alone makes the investment cost worthy of consideration.
In my carport. Bright enough it washes out the red from the tail lights.

Just installed these tonight. Love the look, love the backup lighting (even more since we had added the oracle bumper lights too). BSM was hard to test since its getting late here and not too much traffic out. I do have the hyperflash / turn signal out warning on the dash despite the turn signals operating as expected on the outside. @ORACLElights any updates on the fix for the hyperflash w/ stock LED package?

Yeah so far one of the single best mods we have done to my wives Rubicon. So much so that I ordered a second set for mine that isn't even here yet.

Well my flush mount Oracles will be getting returned. I have LED and BSM, since install I have had a BSM non op message on my dash and no BSM. Oracle said it is a known problem and they are looking into it (at one point they were looking at the Taser being the issue). After several weeks and no resolution, I will be returning them to have my BSM back. Too bad as I like the looks of them, just wish I would have known about the BSM issues prior to ordering.

Only when the Jeep has factory incandescent tail lights do the Oracle flush lights seem to provide an error-free, plug-and-play installation. We're happy to log this as a Win. :)
I had have the factory LED package on mine without all the blind spot stuff, it worked fine with zero errors on the dash or hyperblinking. But I also have a Tazer and followed their instructions by turning off/on the LED Lighting setting in the menu to reset it.

I do like the look and brightness of these lights when they got announced at SEMA. But after reading the later threads, am concerned about the BSM not working properly. Will be watching this thread.
Thanks all for the words of wisdom, insights and personal feedbacks.

My BSM works maybe 30% of the time. It bugged me at first but I no longer think about it. Especially since I have the back up camera enabled with the turn signal. I use that to help with lane changes.
now that my error msg is off, I’m pretty happy with them.

IT seems if you have:
  • non LED and no BSM you are fine
  • LED and no BSM you will be fine but will need a Taser or equivalent (which a Taser is pretty handy anyway)
  • LED and BSM you will need a Taser and likely either have BSM issues either completely non op (my case) or BSM not always working as expected.
Waiting for a call back from their tech support guy but if we can not get it resolved they will be going back. Shame because I like them

I thought that I had read earlier that another member had the same issue and the two wires for the sensor were wired backwards.

The gray and the white wires on the right sensor plug are swapped on some. Mine included but this did not resolve my issue (still getting BSM malfunction warning in IC) so we are looking at all of the wiring now

So, i received the Oracle flush mount tail light with integrated blind spot monitor lights today, i am absolutely over the moon with them. Me and my daughter fitted them this afternoon. It took us about an hour to disassemble the old units to get at the blind spot sensors and reassemble into the new unit but it was easy and seamless! Thank you to Oracle Lighting for coming up with something that has enhanced the rear end of my Jeep and eliminated those bulky stock tail units. I LOVE them!

I saw these on your Jeep when you were driving through Rio Rancho one day. They look pretty good. Your Jeep looks wonderful also!!

I love the look of them…just don’t know if I want to deal with the hassles.

Check out this video.
He explains why Jeep made taillights stick out so they can get BSM sensors to sense over the extended fender.
This is probably why some people have troubles with BSM when they switched out to the plush mount lights.
