Checked the oil on new 3.6l and level was around 3/8 inch over full mark on factory fill. Anyone else run into this. Is it a problem?

On a hot or cold engine? OM says to check it on a warm engine with the motor off and after sitting 5 minutes,

I checked mine on a cold engine and thought it was low. I added a little, got it to the full mark, then later checked it when warm. It was slightly over. I should have left it alone. Oh well, it isn't enough over to cause an issue.
