It is similar but not exactly the same as Fluid Film. You would have to get the data sheets to compare the two. Fluid Film has a higher lanolin concentration base than Surface Shield that has a higher petroleum base but still uses some lanolin.

Previously used Fluid Film, Woolwax and now have been running Blaster Surface Shield for the last two years. Going forward, will probably stick with the Surface Shield as it has held up better.
