I have a 2018 JLU Sport (2.0) - so basic instrument cluster. I recently started to notice that the fuel gauge is off by about 1/3 in comparison to the range. Example: when filling up, the gauge shows FULL and the range is about 300 miles. When the range drops to 150 miles from driving, the fuel gauge is just above 3/4. As I continue to drive and the range goes down, the fuel gauge starts to drop fairly quickly. When I get really down in range, the fuel gauge is just below 1/4 tank.
I took it to the dealer two times already. They ran scans and everything came out fine. There are no TSB's on this so they just said that there isn't anything to fix.
Has anyone seen/heard of this gauge response to fuel consumption?
