Hi Darlene,

I just set up my appointment at a Jeep Dealer, but they seemed confused about this update being performed and think this is like a Map update. I am hoping when I drop it off that my service advisor will know what to do, however if there are issues when I bring it in, Who can I direct them to call to get the scoop? The person I talked to was a scheduler and I am pretty sure she just does reception so isn't familiar is all, but just in case I would like to have something in my back pocket to pull out to make sure they understand what they are doing. Also, this should be covered under warranty, correct? I'm having it done at the same time as my Oil change.

Everyone,

You do not need an active SiriusXM subscription for Off-Road Pages. The message quoted by @Greg H from the Uconnect Representative has been passed on internally for the representative to be corrected. If you have lost Off-Road Pages, please send us a private message so that we can investigate.

Darlene- I tried to send you a private message w my VIN because I’m having problems with local dealerships claiming they’ve never heard of ORP but your message box is full.

Add me to the list...

I took it to the dealer to do the update. Of course they didn't have it ready on a flash drive, and it took well over 2 hours and multiple attempts for them to download it (they had to give me a rental overnight). It seemed clear I'm the first person that's asked for this update from them.

They finally got it downloaded and when they tried to apply it to my Rubi, it gave the "not compatible" error that someone else posted about 5 pages back.

Their solution is they ordered me another radio under warranty. So @JeepCares , what should basically be a free update the dealer can download and install is about to cost you guys whatever your real cost of a new radio is, plus the dealer's tech time to get it all installed.

Know what would be sweet? If you could push an OTA update to me or allow me to download the file myself. That would save me a bunch of time and hassle... And save you guys probably well over $1000.

I have 3 weeks with my Jeep and today car start without the reverse guide lines. I reset the stereo configuration on settings and not it says connected services not active. I called and they says it’s activated and working correctly. But if I touch assist the same: connected services not active. Also sos isn’t working.
Many issues for a NEW JEEP

A question for those who received a successful SW update...

My 2018 JL Rubi with the upgraded 8.4"/Alpine sound system does not have the ORP. Is it worth setting up an appointment with the dealer to get this upgrade at this time? Or should I wait until all the upgrade issues are ironed out?

Thank you.

For what it’s worth, a dealer downloaded the ORP app on my 2018 JLUR about a month ago. It has worked seamlessly ever since. :fingerscrossed:

This is what happened to me when they tried to update it. My dealer gave no resolution and just said that it could not be fixed at this time. I waited 9 months for all the dust to settle on this thing before I even complained. A lot of good that patience did me. Did the new radio fix it?

Took mine in to the Jeep dealer to get the radio flashed with the new update. After they flashed it I realized it wasn't the newest update. It was the update prior to the newest update, which was still one update newer than what I had going in. It did contain the offroad pages which have worked fine over the last month or so. But the update they gave me is buggy. Sometimes I put the jeep in revers and there are no guide lines. Sometimes I start the Jeep and there is NO volume coming from the radio in any capacity. No warning beeps, no music, no nothing. I guess I'll head back at some point and have them flash it again with the newest update. I bet they didn't have it when I went last time and just gave me what that had.

I just received my 2019 Sahara (it was built two weeks ago) with the 8.4" Uconnect, and it does not have offroad pages. Is there something I need to do to enable it? Is it possible my jeep got built without that update?

What are Off Road Pages and are they model specific? I've never had them on my 2019 JLUS. Are they providing value or is it just a feature many can live without? I don't know what I'm missing, but 6 weeks into ownership and I'm at the dealer again diagnosing more problems. Might as well throw ORP into the mix if applicable.

Here are the 3 screens that make up the Off Road Pages. They are available on any model JL that has the 8.4" uConnect system.
