Exfat did not work for me. The trick was copy the files to the main directory and deleting the Uconnect. That was not specified anywhere with exactly what NYC said to do. That was the trick. I am all good in the hood Good luck

The 1 thing i didnt try is using FAT instead of FAT32. Tried exFAT too. Trying that now today since @JeepCares and uConnect "Specialists" and "Advocates" are useless with a 365+ day turnaround time...
Windows wont format FAT. Only FAT32. File / folder structure matches what you have. I'll see if I can find a util to format FAT.

I actually used a PC laptop to format the USB Stick to FAT32, it should work with Fat32 just fine. I had a MAC OSX Multi-boot install stick with 3 versions of OSX and had to use the: "Diskpart" in Windows 10 command to wipe them.

Software version 18.23.29
App version USA-IR-21.10.0-20180605-I09W

When I tried to update, I got an error stating 'update not available to same software version.'

I received the update OTA a while ago. I never bothered to check.

When you turn your engine off, due you leave the ignition on ACC?

Yes and key fob in the rig.
Thanks, I followed your notes above. Formatted USB using a windows laptop to FAT32. Did what you outlined and now my Jeep screen says 55% done and it's only been about 10 minutes...

EDIT: Took about 30 mins I think but went through fine. Thanks again!

So there is some interesting information...

This DL is the same update from LAST YEAR!... Look at the internal date code... 2018-06-05. Yes thats what it is. Everything aligns. Same thing we were looking at last year! (im sure its in this post sometime last year...)

Yes, it's last year's. But I think some may have believed they were due for an update when entering their VIN shows there's an "update available." It's misleading at best (worst?). It also seems some didn't get the update OTA.

To this day, I still show an update available...the same update that was downloaded OTA. I don't understand why an update would show as available, but... FCA.

As an aside... you mentioned going to Classic... would that have been South Charlotte?

There were a lot of folks like me who didn't get the update OTA. I don't know why it took them so long to get the update available to download to a USB key.
