Same here - I filled out their "form" for a quote (which didn't really ask me any questions other than my email address) a few days ago and haven't heard back from them.I tried contacting Tredder by email for a written quote and more information about this company. Unfortunately, I have not received a response. Does anyone here have any personal experience with them? What do you think of this company?
In any case, in light of some of the great information people have posted in this thread, I'm not really sure how useful Tredder insurance would be for me anyways.
I was nervous because a colleague of mine did roll his CJ (off of a cliff, thankfully with nobody in it) and he had to pay for the whole thing himself - the extraction/tow, and the cost to rebuild it pretty much from scratch. But the reason he had to pay it all himself, I assume, is because it was probably uninured. Because at no point did he ever even mention calling any insurance company about it. My JL has substantial insurance, way way above the minimum coverage my bank requires, and my policy definitely appears to cover any "road" regardless of its surfacing (or lack thereof), so I think I'm good.
The only trail I ever drive where totaling the vehicle might be any concern is the Rubicon trail which, as already discussed earlier in the thread, is 100% an official county road. One of the oldest ones in the state, in fact.
