Just a few random initial thoughts in no particular order...

Day 3 since taking delivery and overall I have to say I am very impressed! The power leather drivers seat is very comfortable (do wish they would have included a memory function) as is the passenger seat, however due to the tumble and slide forward feature, the passenger seat remains manual only. No rear seat access from the drivers side!

Fit and finish is good, there are no rattles and controls are easy to use and laid out logically. I like the new big touch screen and dash layout a lot!

Ride and handling is good (after reducing tire pressure to 32 PSI cold from 39-41 PSI cold!) with no pull or drift to either side but could benefit from a bit more positive caster...I will be installing Synergy adjustable lower front control arms to fine tune caster. (Like the fact that you can adjust Synergy control arms without removing one of the ends like I have to do on my '20 JLR) To further enhance handling I plan to install a Synergy adjustable front track bar and a Fox T-S high mount stabilizer.

Some have mentioned the 2.0T as being a bit noisy and this concerned me a little as I waited for her to arrive but those concerns were unwarranted, no complaints. As for engine power, she is still in early stages of break-in so cannot really comment except to say so far I am absolutely happy!

I was also hoping the A/C in the 2.0T would work as well as the A/C in my '20 JLR 3.6...it works great! The ceramic tint and all Bright White color should also help.

That's it for now...:)

Edit for picture:
Mods so far; Rock Hard 4x4 Angle-up sliders, XPEL Ceramic tint and Mopar OEM Recon Fender Flag decal.

Pics please. If I would have waited 1 more yr. this is the package I would most likely have ordered. I wanted to go back to a 2 dr. but I also wanted the factory lift. And the wife mentioned not having enough storage space 🤬🤬🤬. Once it was said out loud my dreams of a 2 door evaporated..

Paid my dues out in Scottsdale. The only reason I moved there was to wheel as it gave me center of mass between Texas and Cali, Utah and Mexico...I retired to wheel and I did.

I am really pizzed that when ordered my JLR-X it did NOT come with the 35s. As I ordered early I was told and shown where the 35s were included...but Jeep changed their mind and deleted it...OK then I went out and bought set of 35s and new wheels. Put on GY Duratrac's. But overall street and trail tire I have ever owned...

She looks awesome!
You are right, the wheeling here is great! Summertime, we head north and wintertime (still summer for many parts of the country!) we hit both northern and southern AZ!

I am sure you Table Mesa often. I spent a week out there trying to find the back to Crown King. There is an annual ride to Crown King but it's not on the original road. We finally found the entrance on the day before our last day of wheeling and we camped there that night. A friend of mine had dug up some OLD maps showing the road. Most of the road was a dry creekbed....where you do NOT want to be if it rains.

I am knocking hard on the door of 80 and wheeling days are long gone...but I can say I have wheeled all over the world and I have, Europe, Asia, Latin America, even Alaska and Hawaii and Canada. I am graduating to adventure travel, seeing the ghost towns and sights of off-the-beaten-path but off the road. Where at the end of the day you build a fire throw some steaks on the coals, drink some Ice cold and relax with a few friends or by myself like I have done most of wheeling days over the past 60 years.

If I get back that way I will look you up and maybe find a bar to put our elbows on or a lonesome road to travel...

Sounds like fun! Would love to meet up with you next time you are in the area.

I don't wheel as much as I used to just due to work but try to at least get out on a trail every month or so. Years ago I had good job, three weeks vacation, weekends off...Then decided to quit and start my own business, long story short last real vacation I took was before I started this company and we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this September!

Now I do travel to Europe three or four times a year and while nice, it is all business. Also I just got the plans approved for my new home and as I will be the GC, the next two years are really going to be busy!

First week down and initial break-in complete! Under 55mph first 250 miles, under 75mph first 500 miles...611 miles on the odometer now!

So thought (before I sell the '20 JLR) I would do a quick comparison including a ride and drive between my '24 JLRX w/35" package and my '20 JLR...

Seats:
The '24 seats are way more comfortable, especially the leather power drivers seat but also the manual leather passenger seat.

Cabin Noise: This one is interesting, there is clearly more front firewall / carpet insulation on the '24 and the 'front' is quieter BUT the '24 has more noise coming from the cargo area as well as more 'air turbulence' from the hardtop...Need to check, adjust, align and tighten hardtop.
Also I suspect there might be a bit more road noise coming from the 'sub' area in the back cargo floor vs the storage area in non-Alpine JLR's with their folding carpeted cover...THIS I will rectify sooner than later by removing the Alpine 'sub' and replacing with the OEM storage cubby with carpeted folding cover and installing a drivers side JL Audio Stealthbox to improve the audio.

Powertrain: '24 2.0T / 4.56 / Auto vs '20 3.6 / 4.88 /Auto...
Both powertrains are good but different!
With only a little over 600 miles with the '24 2.0T 4.56 combo vs 47,000+ with the '20 3.6 4.88 combo, the jury is still out on which I prefer...

A/C
(extremely important in the AZ desert!) are both very good!

Drivetrain / Transfer Case: I personally really like the full time 4.1 transfer case in the '24 JLRX vs the part time 4.1 transfer case in the '20 JLR. Also the '24 Rubicons have a full-floating heavier duty rear axle.

Brakes: Both good with no complaints or noticeable differences.

Suspension: The '20 JLR with its custom 2.5" suspension is superior to the stock XR in the '24. This however I will address while adding just under an inch to ride height...Synergy springs, adjustable front / rear track bars, and at a minimum a set of adjustable Synergy front lower control arms along with a matched set of longer tuned Fox shocks. This will especially be important once I install the Warn Zeon 10-S which will add another 95 pounds to the front end. The '24 JLRX does have a bit more dive in the front end when braking than I like...
Note: I do want to point out that my '24 JLRX w/35" package is tight, tracks straight as an arrow with zero drift or pull to either side! The modifications I plan are relatively minor, can easily be done in a day at home in my garage and will make an already good suspension into a great one!

Storage: Hands down the '20 JLR wins with the storage cubby in the back cargo area vs the 'sub' in the middle of the cargo floor in the '24 JLRX...What idiot thought it was a good idea to remove what little storage we had in our 2-door JL's? I also really like the Trail Rail system in the '20 JLR, wish that was still an option. Going to also see if that can easily be retrofitted into the cargo floor when I replace the 'sub' with the OEM storage cubby.

New Dash Layout: I like the new wide touchscreen but this is just personal preference.

That's it for a quick side by side comparison between my '20 JLR and my new '24 JLRX...Overall Jeep has really upped their game!:)

Did an alignment 'check' with the baseline readouts so I have a record before mods...Could not record accurate ride heights as did not have a level at alignment shop so will take measurements from level garage floor this evening. She handles okay now and has zero drift or pull to either side but handling will be greatly improved with a few suspension mods along with bumping the caster up about 2 degrees...I will do a complete writeup after the suspension upgrades/mods (late June) including another alignment printout, a full list parts used and of course a detailed ride and drive review! It should come out really well as I have lots of practice on my '20 Ruby 2-door:)

I weighed her this week but not sure the scales are correct even though it states 'certified accurate'...According to this scale she weighed in at 4680 pounds box stock! This is with a topped off fuel tank and subtracting the 40 pounds net increase that the Rock Hard 4x4 Angle-up sliders added. Going to see if I can find another scale to verify...

This is 'winch weekend' so installing a Warn Zeon 10-S with a Grimm winch mount and mid-height grille guard / hoop for the OEM steel bumper. This combo should add right at 100 pounds to the front...
If time allows, I might also install the MetalCloak full width rear bumper. Will weigh it before install and weigh the OEM steel bumper after removal to determine the additional net weight.

Anyone else notice the can covers on the front bumper of the red one are larger than those on the white one? Also they are separate of the fog light inlay and the bumper sticks out a little further than the white one. Is that because of the factory winch?
BTW, they both look great!

Yes, the 'cans' included with the OEM winch are a lot longer! If you order the Mopar winch mounting 'kit' the longer cans come with the kit. There are two different OEM steel bumpers used in '24, one for the winch option and one 'winch ready'. It may just be an optical illusion as to the bumper sticking out further but it may hang down a bit lower...This I will measure next time I drive past Jeeps overflow lot on my way to work.

Thanks, I also think both rigs look great!

They're pretty damn obnoxious. And yes, you "get" those with the winch.

Supposedly it's fairly easy to swap them out with the stock version.
