Well seeing as the issue was a rubbed through wire, I'd argue my point still stands. With these PHEV's, even when you disconnect the 12V battery, the 12V system is not powered down. The 400V system still is able to supply power to the 12V system.

Well seeing as the issue was a rubbed through wire, I'd argue my point still stands. With these PHEV's, even when you disconnect the 12V battery, the 12V system is not powered down. The 480V system still is able to supply power to the 12V system.
It’s a DC-DC charger, the voltage at the 12V is still around 12V.

My literature says 400 volts. Your dealership have different info?

It has a 400v and a 12v system. The 12v system runs all the traditional vehicle electronics. And to respond you whom you're quoting, no, with the 12v system powered down the 400v system will not function. The 12v's one and only job is to latch the contactors for the HV battery. If it doesn't have the ~10.6v or so required to do that the vehicle will not function or start. If you disconnected the 12v battery while the vehicle was already running it would, however, continue to run.
