With a Tazer, if you take your jeep to the dealership it is highly recommended to unmarry & remove your Tazer, once you do this all of your settings are gone and you'll have to reset all of them again and again or every time you take your jeep to a dealership even for an oil change. With JScan you don't lose any of your settings. I'm told the dealership won't even see them.I've had no issue with my Tazer. It's not the best interface but it works. I haven't looked too much into Jscan but it is app based, correct?
@Flip can you expand a little bit on what you like about Jscan in terms of settings and what you can change using it?
I'll have to download the app and check it out. More info here and I'm pretty sure the $59 OBD2 is the one I bought. You need the ECRI, the extension cables are optional but makes life easier. BTW I think the app was a one-time $30 purchase.I'll have to download the app and check it out. Thanks!
I got the "lite" level of Taser. I note it is a bit cumbersome to use. Once set, I just leave it plugged in. Factory Warranty is done. Anything else I'll unplug/unmarry. I needed ESS disable, gear change, and tire OD corrections. Features available I occasionally use are "super cool/engine fan on and rear backup light on when parked and stationary. I may upgrade it later.
Adding the current gear display to the center TFT screen is a factory-embedded function that is explained in the Owner's Manual. I've activated it on my Jeep. No aftermarket purchases are required.I got the "lite" level of Taser. I needed ESS disable, gear change, and tire OD corrections.
It's actually called "cooldown mode'. Page 7 of the instructions PDF. " Cooldown Mode: Press the right arrow and cruise cancel button at the same time to turn the engine fans on High. If the engine is off, the fans will turn off automatically if the battery voltage drops below 11V. Transmission temperature will read as 229F while this mode is being used with the engine running. (only works with the engine off on manual Jeeps)."I'd like to hear more about this "super cool/engine fan.
