I've had no issue with my Tazer. It's not the best interface but it works. I haven't looked too much into Jscan but it is app based, correct?

@Flip can you expand a little bit on what you like about Jscan in terms of settings and what you can change using it?

With a Tazer, if you take your jeep to the dealership it is highly recommended to unmarry & remove your Tazer, once you do this all of your settings are gone and you'll have to reset all of them again and again or every time you take your jeep to a dealership even for an oil change. With JScan you don't lose any of your settings. I'm told the dealership won't even see them.

I'll have to download the app and check it out. Thanks!

I got the "lite" level of Taser. I note it is a bit cumbersome to use. Once set, I just leave it plugged in. Factory Warranty is done. Anything else I'll unplug/unmarry. I needed ESS disable, gear change, and tire OD corrections. Features available I occasionally use are "super cool/engine fan on and rear backup light on when parked and stationary. I may upgrade it later.

More info here and I'm pretty sure the $59 OBD2 is the one I bought. You need the ECRI, the extension cables are optional but makes life easier. BTW I think the app was a one-time $30 purchase.

I'm not taking credit for this info I got it all from RB01 his full write about JScan is in the link below.

I'd like to hear more about this "super cool/engine fan.

Adding the current gear display to the center TFT screen is a factory-embedded function that is explained in the Owner's Manual. I've activated it on my Jeep. No aftermarket purchases are required.

It's actually called "cooldown mode'. Page 7 of the instructions PDF. " Cooldown Mode: Press the right arrow and cruise cancel button at the same time to turn the engine fans on High. If the engine is off, the fans will turn off automatically if the battery voltage drops below 11V. Transmission temperature will read as 229F while this mode is being used with the engine running. (only works with the engine off on manual Jeeps)."
The other correction I needed was to change the alarm value for tire pressure (TPMS). I have the Sahara wheels and tire size. The minimum pressure was way to high.

The gear change was axle ratios.

I like it, would argue it's worth it, but it's a bit buggy (specific bugs present change with each firmware update and usually decrease but not always). My understanding is some of these buggy features are specific to the diesel, so may not apply to all.

Things that haven't ever worked for me:
* Kill3Honk
* Activating a light show from the key fob (not that I have much interest, but still)
* Winch mode
* Line lock

Things which work but with caveats
* Button remapping. I have my right arrow keys mapped to Cooldown, TurnAssist, and SwayKill. When I'm in adaptive cruise control and use the arrow keys for that, they also activate the mapped functions on the Tazer. So I'll take off from a stoplight and suddenly my swaybar is disconnected and I need to drive below 18 MPH for it to reconnect. I've gotten in the habit of monitoring the status of these features on the Audio screen and making changes to my cruise control speed in increments of 2 clicks in order to maintain the same state.
* TurnAssist, when turned on, cannot be turned off without just restarting the vehicle. I have no idea if it works or not since I've never tested it, but as mentioned above whenever I use cruise control it turns on, and I haven't heard any squealing around corners so . . .
* SwayKill is probably my favorite feature besides the ESS disable and tire recalibration, but it's a little wonky -- you have to activate it while the jeep is stopped, otherwise it won't do anything. But so nice being able to have sway bar disconnected > 18 MPH and/or in 2WD.
* TurnCam I had on for a bit but it caused the occasional glitch in my head unit and I got tired of not being able to adjust the music while I was at an intersection with my turn signal on. But nice for those like me who can no longer see anything out the back window.

All in all I think it's worth it for SwayKill alone, otherwise I might have just gone to manual disconnects. But looking forward to future updates where (hopefully) some of these bugs get worked out.
