I’ve noticed most Sahara’s seem to run nitrogen in this area (midwest)

I would think the Ni would make the tires lighter and improve towing capacity and gas mileage, and reduce stress on the breaks.

N2 was all the rage many, many years back and tire shops charged $2-$5 a tire to let the air out and refill with N2, the concept was N2 molecules are larger than regular compressed air so the leak rate is less plus it’s not supposed to heat up as quickly and disapate heat more quickly, at the time I worked for Linde BOC at an N2/O2 separation plant so it was free for me to refill all my tires and I never saw any benefit

It's a scam. The air you breath in and out consists more than 75% of nitrogen.

I have seen dealership (not jeep) put nitrogen filled tires on the window sticker as an option and charge $45. I was like... Get the F out of here.

My Sahara came with N2. I don’t know if the dealer put in or factory. The valve caps were the only indication - labeled “N2”. Don't know if was 100% or 78%! Dealer never tried to charge for it or quote me the science behind it. Salesmen and science typically don’t mix well.

Don't waste your money. Local tire store made a big deal that they filled the new tires on my Ram 2500 with nitrogen and should not see pressure change much. I saw as much as 5 psi change from cold to hot while driving.

If they want to fill em for free knock themselves out. Otherwise I'll take my free 75% and move on.

Why? Do you think the compressed gas in a tire makes up the majority of the weight in an inflated wheel/tire?

Complete and total scam. My Sequoia and Charger have nitrogen and both had the tire pressure light flashing as soon as it went below freezing this year. Dealer raved about how much better nitrogen retained pressure through varied temps yet I never had that problem with normal air in my tires.

I had a $199 add on show up in the finance room for nitrogen fill. I told them to let the nitrogen out and give me air. They said no but took the $199 off. Lol
