Yea thats why I kinda stayed away from the start of this one lol Lots of money wasted in my eyes for a look rather than just using it.
Hey man, I put lots of money into it yeah, but I do enjoy getting the most optimal use I can get when on the trails, and do most of the work myself. I go to Ocala/Croom over by me in FL but wanna cap out on mods soon. I have family in UT and heard there's great wheeling out there, never can have too much fun. Appreciate your feedback

Have you taken it off road yet? Honestly, your Jeep is plenty modded for 99+% of Jeepers already. I would spend your money on something else fun.
Yeah I wheel when I can over in Ocala and Croom (FL), but I'm really focused on school and my jobs right now I can't get out as much as I'd like.

does your lift kit have the front and rear track bars?
After you do the skids, I would hit those.

I'm guessing you feel some desire to spend your money on a new driveshaft. I'm just not sure why.
Hey man, I read about it in a bunch of threads via JL Forum & Reddit, and all were recent, discussing what upgrades to attack before you run into issues with a lift 3" or higher. If all those experienced repliers are wrong I'm open to suggestions.

Have you replaced your driveshaft and or axles with the build you have? What about regearing? I have a good amount of knowledge on these kind of things but I always like to get separate opinions for assurance.

No driveshaft or axle changes for mine (37s, 3" lift, EcoDiesel). People usually don't change those until they get closer to 40s.

Oh okay. I didn't know that so I appreciate the response. Have you rode with 37s for a while? Do you prefer them over 35s? I run 35s now but when I need a new set I was thinking of changing things up and moving to 37s, but didn't know if it would really affect anything else going bigger

Mine was built by AEV, so it came with 37s, lift, 4.63 gears, etc. On road it rides at least as well as the '20 JLUR it replaced and significantly better on trail. Most of that, however, came from the AEV suspension and Bilstein 8100s w/remote reservoirs.

AEV sounds pretty neat. When I get my next vehicle, which will be a while, I was thinking of doing an AMW4X4 Swap, and possibly I'll do one on an AEV JL350 build. I like the look. Does AEV already have builds available or you just give them your new/current wrangler and they take care of the build?

The preferred approach is to order a new rig through an AEV-certified dealership. Spec it how you want, it gets built in Toledo, sent directly to AEV, then sent either to you or you pick it up in Michigan (like I did). With that approach you get a 3 year / 36k mile warranty that covers everything. Or just walk into an AEV-certified dealership and buy one off the floor.

You can also do it piecemeal, send your existing rig to AEV, have an AEV-certified dealership build it up for you, whatever. But I'm pretty sure the only way you get the full warranty is if they build it for you from the factory.

Note that it'd be pretty unusual to go with 35s. That seems kind of pointless / half-assed when 37s work so damn well.

Got it. I'm over in FL, so Toledo would be a bit of a drive but worth it I guess in my eyes. Make a few stops OTW, sight see, wheel a bit. I'll definitely look into AEV specs and see if I can build one in the near future. 37s will be the next move on my current rig. I heard Nitto is good, any other brand suggestions? I run BFGR KO2s currently and they ride really nice

This. Unless you are just looking to spend money, leave it alone and use the $$ you’ll save to fund road trips to places where you can actually USE your Jeep. As it sits, I’ll guarantee is more capable than you are at 22 or so. You’ve not had enough off road experience yet to have reached the point where you need more.

AEV is in Michigan. Yeah, it was quite a trip back to Colorado, but definitely worth it.

As far as tires go, what's right for your specific situation depends on lots of criteria and your prioritization of those criteria.
