Hey y'all, I just joined this forum and could really use some guidance concerning upgrades on my JLU. I figured I'd give you a rundown at what I've put into my rig. 2 years ago, I bought my 2022 JLU Sport Altitude new from the dealer, and because I was only 20, I had no idea if I wanted to do any mods or where to even start. Now today, I've invested a hefty amount into my rig, so I guess you could say I've learned a lot. I mostly daily drive it and do occasional wheeling when I have time.

Everything installed on my JLU was Color-Matched/Powder Coated. Car is Gloss Black, so everything is Gloss/Satin Black with Custom Gold Accents.

I have upgraded Alpine system, 8.4" screen, and all that came OEM, so the only upgrade in the interior might be leather upholstery down the road. Trying to steer away from any Axle/Diff Mods because I don't have deep pockets yet.

Current Upgrades On the JLU

5x DirtyLife 17x9 Beadlocks w/ 35" BFGR T/A KO2s
TERAFLEX 3.5" Lift
TERAFLEX Falcon SP2 Adjustable Shocks
TERAFLEX Falcon Adjustable Steering Stabilizer
Core 4x4 Front Upper/Lower Adjustable Control Arms
Core 4x4 Rear Upper/Lower Adjustable Control Arms
Core 4x4 2.5 Ton Adjustable Steering/Drag Link Flip Kit
Core 4x4 Adjustable Front/Rear Track Bars
Dynatrac HD Ball Joints
Apex autoLYNX 10.5" Sway Bar Disconnect
Apex BADLAND Wireless 12k Winch
3rd Gen RSE Power Steps
Rugged Ridge Front/Rear Steel Bumpers
Barricade Front/Rear Steel Fenders
CAVFAB Front/Rear Inner Fenders
CAVFAB Elite Series Spare Carrier
Oracle FLush Taillight Upgrade
Mopar OEM HeadLight/FogLight Upgrade
Mopar OEM Grille 2024
GPCA Grab Bars

What Upgrades Was I Thinking Next?

Front/Rear Driveshaft
TERAFLEX Falcon Fast Adjust Piggyback Shocks
TERAFLEX Delta BBK
Pod Lights, Looking at KC/Rigid/Baja Designs

I was hoping someone could help guide me towards a solid build so I don't have to replace things as often as I did when I bought the car.

What are you trying to do with it where it's not performing well? Unless, of course, you're like a lot of us and are addicted to simply changing stuff.

The most obvious upgrade would be to stop calling it a car.

John, Thanks for the Response. I will no longer refer to it as a car, don't worry. I am definitely addicted to changing stuff on it, I just don't have the funds yet to go Hemi Swap or new axle/diff replacement crazy. The reason I ask is because I try to learn as much info before purchasing products and have read about lifting over 3" or equipping bigger tires, a driveshaft should be next. Is that true?

My rig works great. I was thinking either driveshaft or brakes before the shocks because I've only had the shocks for 8-12months, but I could always sell em. What are your thoughts?

Skid plates would be my next move.
Wow, that's a lot of upgrades without skids. Good call.

It seems like very few people go over 3" of lift. Is there a specific reason you're wanting to go in that direction? Is it just for looks or do you plan on doing extreme stuff? You don't have skids yet, so I'm guessing it's for looks.

One for looks and two, I plan on taking it wheeling more once I get more time and don't wanna have to think twice when purchasing products anymore if that makes sense. I daily drive it and wheel occasionally, so I want to have a good balance between mild off road performance and just highway driving.

A stock Sport is more than enough for mild off road, especially if you're in Florida.

Lite Brite gets a lot of grief here, but she does a pretty damn good analysis of what you might be considering.

Check for seasonal sales, I think I paid $960 shipped front to back for mine on a holiday sale.
I will definitely keep an eye out for sales. Thanks
