That didn't age well...2024 refresh, same frame and tub, new grill, dash, and giant screen and that's about it.

Almost like theres a pattern of behavior here.

Based on Stellantis track record, the next gen Wrangler prob will be front wheel drive, unibody with rack and pinion steering.

LOL wut?! It's EXACTLY what I said it would be. I was JUST talking about this in the intro thread yesterday. Redesigned frame for more tire clearance and factory-available accessory packages (that winch that was redesigned to fit the new frame). I never said anything about "substantial changes" nor did I promise it would come with 37s from the factory. That part was simply a guess, and was stated as such - see the quote you posted - I even included the words " But these are just my educated guesses based on what i've seen".

You assigned a bunch of statements to me, and then tried to call me out on them. The only claims that didn't materialize are ones that YOU made. Not me.

This new JL is actually much more new than even I expected it would be. It's got frikin power seats!! Even I wouldn't have guessed that.
The frame isn't different at all and has no more tire clearance. Nor is the tub? Why can't we be adults and admit we we're wrong?

I just read that the EPA is announcing new standards for 27–32 models next week. EPA confirmed the standards are designed to incentivize consumers to purchase electric vehicles. Your prediction could at least be within a year or two of being correct. ( and the pure EV to come)

Those will be incredibly short lived standards... 😁

So then you agree that this whole debacle is over your opinion of what a "refresh" is.
It has nothing to do with anyone's "opinion" of a refresh unless your inside information says Jeep fundamentally changed how their model designations work? The 2024 is still a JL, Even according to Jeep it's therefore not a redesign, which would come with a new model designation. It's a mid-cycle refresh like literally everyone told you it would be back in 2021. I can't even find confirmation of the different rail spacing you claim. It looks like early JL bumpers fit so how did they change rail spacing and get that to work?

Edit. 100% calling bs on rail spacing change. Just spent a few minutes looking through some parts sites...skids/bumpers/fender liners etc are all the same for 2024. Most of these parts bolt between the rails. If the spacing changed even a bit they wouldn't fit period.

Man, I really screwed up by buying a 2022. I missed out on @TheRaven's "all new frame and tub" that was introduced in 2023!!!

Oh wait......never mind.

Damn it @Remorseless, would you mind turning off that section of your brain that dredges up other people's inability to admit that they might be wrong in error inaccurate imprecise mistaken?

Fortunately they didn’t get near all they wanted- the annual automatic 2% mpg increase for light trucks/suv’s starts a couple years later resulting in a much lower fleet average by 2032, from the wanted over 50 mpg to the high 30’s.

they’ll be back

Can't afford enough beer to keep that suppressed. We'll just have to settle for Internet arguments and memery.

An easier option than admitting you are wrong perhaps ?

Has it been long enough for a response before considering this the response ?
