Hell, most all new engines that I know of have wiring harness that could be installed properly with your eyes closed because the connectors only fit specific sensors etc.
Hopefully you think that's a good idea.

Or maybe you think they should document the entire thing in a manual and force you to go line by line.

No, they learned to make it foolproof. And that's "a good thing".

Why would you think otherwise?
Interesting…

The engineers did everything except the one simple thing that should have been done: a different thread pitch for each plug.
Those look like different thread pitches to me. Also, you could only remove and replace the main chamber before removing/replacing the pre-chamber plugs to avoid inadvertently mixing them up.

"Complex Tech" equals less reliability, longevity, and future serviceability.

Long live the Pentastar V6! I've got 300k flawless miles combined on P-star engines since 2012 and I love my new '25 too.

Are we looking at two different pictures? Those are the exact same size and pitch of threads. And it's a matter of when, not if, for even a dealer technician to put 8 pre-chamber plugs in an engine.

I could see it being a 12mm, good call, especially when you see the size of the pre-chamber.
If this is a doctored photo the sonofabitch that did it was successful in stirring up a lot of shite.

Because you're defending Jeep's "opposite of foolproof" approach when it comes to sparkplugs.
So you can’t wrap your brain around the fact that maybe, possibly the application might require a totally different spark plug!
You do know or maybe you don’t that the AF ratio in a pre-chamber is richer than the main chamber. Heat range, reach or size and composition of the electrodes is probably different.
Do you think that they would sacrifice performance so people like you could get out there with your crescent wrench and hammer and F it up at home?

Sounds like the perfect reason to actually use a different size and thread for the plug then, doesn't it? Yet, they didn't. Which is why we are calling it out as stupid.

Do you have the plug in front of you so you can definitely make sure of the difference?
Does anyone?

No, it's not doctored.

Here's the video from MOPAR:

At least they tried to give clues about what goes where, but it's definitely possible to trash the engine when in a hurry.

Do you think that they would sacrifice performance so people like you could get out there with your crescent wrench and hammer and F it up at home?
Starting with personal attacks now?
Interesting...

The one on the right looks like a slightly shorter pitch between threads to me. Either way there are procedures that can be used to mitigate the chance of error.

All of these specs mean nothing if the plugs can be swapped by a “Primitive Pete” mechanic.
