Who is we? I spent a bunch of time today with the dealer in Boise and was told 35’s cannot Be purchased on any two door models. On a side note, although the Jeep website offers the color green, it is not an available color for the X. Jeep apparently has some significant issues.

The 'we' referrs me and my wife. If you ask for the Xtream 35 package it may ring a bell with them.

Here is a picture of the package on our 4 door model. It runs nice of the freeway and is good off road. Our other red one is a bit noisy with the 38's on it.

It looks nice, but it’s a 4 door, Jeep will not equip a 2 door with the 35 package. They may have a good reason, but it is NOT available. Regardless, my brain is about to explode with Jeep stuff. A bit of trivia I discovered today, allegedly in the United States there is 8.3 four doors sold new for every two door. I forgot the exact ratio, but the vast majority are Sports. Because the Jeep website is far from accurate, who knows if true, but I did a nationwide search for two door X’s and only 141 was either on lots, or in transit.

Good luck ! With our 2 door , pictured here , we got the mopar lift for about 2 thousand. and 4.88 rear axels , and the enhanced rear tire holder bracket as a base. If you do that, you will be able to go up to 37's or 38's once you move past the 35's you can start out with.

I will easily be happy with 35’s, but I have asked the following question several times and got different answers…..I confuse easily. If I replace the 33’s with 35’s will I need to regear for the vehicle to accelerate and shift correctly??? If I need to have it lifted no more than 2-3” I don’t care, I just do not want to have the gears changed! That is way past my comfort level! Thanks!

The mopar 1.5 inch lift will do from 35's to 38's. No need to regear at all. We got the 488 axels by ordering them installed at the factory along with the metal bumpers and winch.

I did not upgrade the axels, with only the lift, will 35’s still work without rehearing?

It will work great ! The 488's are for the bigger tires. The 35's are not much bigger in weight than the 33's and the factory runs out the 35's with the standard 410 axel ratio in mass quantities. I do'nt believe you even need a lift for the 35's. And, in my view, a 2 or 3 inch lift with 35's will make it look real dorky.

Just 1 more thing, the higher the lift the more top heavy it is and driving in the wind with a highly lifted vehicle at freeway speeds can be a bit uncomfortable.

Ouch! Two inches will make a difference? I did not think of that, especially on a two door! Thanks!

trying to make it look cool, not dorky! I think I will run the 33’s for a bit, again, thank you!

I contacted two dealers today….I’m OCD! Both told me basically the same thing. I do not need a lift for 35’s, unless the wheel articulates more than 2 inches. If it does, it will damage the fenders and other components. Both also emphasized, anything but the 2” Mopar lift, probably will void the warranty.

Hello,
The mopar 2 inch lift, which can be put on at your dealership, will not void the warranty and I have it on Red . I t will work 38 inch tires but the fenders need some changes though.

Here is a couple of pictures after the install.. I can't see how 35 inch tires would need any more than this..

If you are not going into some big rocky stuff, you can just go up to the tire store and have the 35's put on. If you have them put on at the dealership when it comes in, you can resell the factory tires as new and recoup some of the upsize costs.

That is great advice!!! Also the red rig looks incredible, but like I indicated previously, 35 will be my limit. Do you happen to know if the dealer can upgrade the shocks with the Mopar lift and approximately what is the cost of the Mopar lift installed? The dealer also indicated the Mopar tailgate support I ordered from the factory SHOULD accommodate 35’s, can you confirm?
