I did not have any performance issues going from the 33s to 35s (fyi, I have the 3.6L).

The wheels are JK AEV Borah wheels … they make the same wheels for the JL but tuck in a little more than the JK version and the JK backspacing is what is recommended for most lifts. AEV made the JL wheel backspacing designed with their lift kit in mind. (Which IS another great lift kit BUT designed more for Overlanding carrying heavier loads.
I have read so much stuff on the topic, my head will explode. Thanks to the replies here, I MAY ride the 33’s for a while, but love the look of the 35’s. Having said that, does anyone know if a lift is required when 35’s are placed on a 2024 X? I definitely don’t want it to rub! Not to sound stupid, but some indicated Performance will be impacted by 35’s without a gear change, others say no impact was felt. Be that as it may, if performance is impacted, will a dealer change the gear so I keep the warranty and what type of gear? In other words, how do i describe it to the dealer? Someone here mentioned a shock replacement, is that necessary for a larger tire and again, will the dealer do it? I definitely want to keep the warranty intact!! Also, planning for the worst and hoping for the best, what will be the approximate cost to have high quality wheels, 35” tires, gear and shocks installed?

OK...so you already got the upgrade fever... My JLRX is a 4 door..while I like the look of the 2 door..I refer the ride of the 4 door. Traded a 23 Yukon Denali for this. The ride is totally different, IT is a jeep..Did you test drive a 2 door and 4 door before ordering? I am doing some minor interior mods, but leaving the suspension and tires alone..I think they look great..The 4 door X has 34.5 in 315's (35's)If I were you, I would count the days waiting for delivery, pick it up , drive it awhile, I think you will find that the tires and lift on the X will give you the look and ride you are after. IT WILL NEVER RIDE LIKE A CADILLAC...and you do not want it to. When you have specific questions...ask this forum..these are very knowledgeable jeep owners and they are happy to help..oh and be sure to wave and be prepared for your 1st duck!! Happy trails.
Gotta ask, what the hell do you mean by “duck”?

Look at my dash beneath the windshield...people randomly leave small rubber ducks (all kinds) in or around the drivers door handle. My g/f thinks it neat, so whatever. BTW I am in my 60's...

Gotcha! I actually saw a Wrangler yesterday in Boise with the entire dashboard filled with ducks. BTW, I am also in the 60’s, but going on 16.

I've dealt with Bucks a couple times and haven't had the best luck. You might check with the dealer, see what they'd charge and there wouldn't be any potential warranty issues.
I am in Boise as well, isnt Bucks the only place in town?

You have the turbo, correct? I ordered a 3.6 L
To give some context, I've went from 33's to 37's on stock 4.10s in a Gladiator with only small losses in power. That's the same 3.6 in a heavier rig. If you want to run 35's with minimal mods you can no problem

You will NOT need re-gearing going to 35s

As far as price for tires... @Discount Tire is a forum sponsor & can price match ANY price you find on the internet. They also do free lifetime tire rotation & balancing if you have them mount, balance and install them after purchasing the tires from them.

Dude, just take possession of the Jeep and drive it. See what you think a few months down the line. All this stress and spending money on something you dont have is silly.

What do you mean, “stock 4.10’s”?

That is the gearing in the rear axle that comes with the Rubicon without the XR package. Like I said, I have the 4.10 gears and there is no performance downgrade going to the 35s from the 33s. In fact the ONLY difference is at times & in certain acceleration/elevation scenarios the Jeep sees 8th gear a little less. But even that can be "manually" forced (going from 7th into 8th gear) with our automatic transmissions because they have the "manual" option with them.

I didn't notice any difference in performance when I put 35s on my stock Rubicon with the 3.6L. I did buy the Tazer JL however to calibrate the shift points and speedometer with the new tire size.

That is the rear end gear ratio. when they talk about regearing they mean changing the ratio, a 4.10 would have 41 teeth on the ring and 10 on the pinion. You change that to 9 teeth on the pinion and the ratio changes to 4.56. the higher the number the more turns the drive shaft makes to turn the wheels. the more turns, less torque is needed to turn them making the vehicle feel "snappier' or quicker. Increasing tire size increase the torque to turn making the vehicle feel "sluggish" or slower.

The only rubbing with 35s on a stock Rubicon will be at full flex on the plastic in the rear wheel well liner. Not a big deal and I don't suspect that you will be rock crawling full-flex very much anyway. Performance is not noticeably changed between 33s and 35s with the Rubicon 4.10 gearing. A dealer will probably charge you $3,000+ for a re-gear. I would absolutely run the 35s so see if you can't tolerate any lack of performance (if any) before spending the money on a re-gear.
