Original batteries lasted 2 years and 22k miles. Both batteries down below 10 volts. Started reading the ESS threads and thought about removing the aux battery. Ended up installing 2 new batteries in stock configuration as it is a daily driver. Also installed Tazer to stop ESS. 2 days later both batteries down to under 10 volts. Removed Aux batt negative and jumpered N1 to N3 with a 10 gage unfused jumper. Jeep worked for several days, and now today after sitting for about 30 hours, the main battery is down to 4 volts. Z bar fuse tested good.
Bad battery or is there a draw? I do not have a battery load tester(yet).
This is the Wife's Jeep and she is not happy.

Battery is taking a charge. Up to 12.4 volts so far, but I am sure the life is gone with how low it went.
I went N1 to N3 so it can use the 150 amp fuse in the Z bar in N3 for the jump to N1. N1 to N2 and I would have a fused Jumper.
I took out the Tazer to see if it makes a difference. Wife has been blaming it.

Going to try charging the battery full and see what happens overnight.

I joined just after she bought the Jeep, and have been lurking since. Been reading everyone else's posts and found most of the answers I have needed. This is the first real issue we have had with it.

Charged the battery to 12.6 volts last night. This morning it is down to 12.34 volts.

Have you tested it with the tazer being back installed? My wife's is having a similar problem but other factors are being blamed, BUT she does not have the tazer. With that said I have a tazer on mine and have not had this issue. So trying to compare. Would be curious as to what the cause of the draw is/was.

Buy a clamp on DC ammeter and take some measurements to determine if it’s parasitic draw. Or let the dealer do it.

The waiting to fail plan is definitely gonna make her unhappy.

I don't run the taser, but have experience with other similar devices that cause additional draw. Regardless of the specific root cause, many of us run battery tenders to help limit similar battery issues.

Once you get this resolved, I recommend investing in a good battery tender.

Well, I had a draw on the battery as well first day I got it, its 3.6 l with e-dork, went thru 2 batteries then took to dealer, after they tested it etc., they came to conclusion that it was the pdc fuse bar, they replaced it and seems to me still have a power draw, seems to be the norm with these e-dork motors

Do you mean "etorque"? Pretty sure we would hear about it if it was "the norm" with those motors.

Update -
11 days later and seems to be "normal". Battery maintaining. Been driven most every day, hasn't sat longer than 36 hours since my previous posts. If it sat longer, I would consider a trickle charger.
I have not reinstalled the Tazer, yet. At far as ESS, I unplugged the hood switch and the wife doesn't mind this.
Two weeks ago I did go through all the fuses looking for a parasitic draw(millivoltage across a fuse) and found nothing. I have to assume the two new batteries did not like eachother. Date stamps on them are one month apart.
Minibattery is still in there with the negative cable removed. Thinking of removing it entirely.
I sit here and ask myself if I need to worry about the rest of the warranty, what little there is.....

I have a 19 JLU 2.0 with eTorque that has suddenly started with this same issue. I took my doors and the top off about five days ago and two days later I'm suddenly dealing with a battery drain. I've checked to make sure everything is turned off when parking it but after 2-3 hours of sitting, I have to throw a charger on it to start it. I've load tested the battery and it seems fine... but it drains off fast when sitting. Did anybody ever come up with a good answer as to what may be the cause.
