Ok, got a new problem with my JLUR.
Pulled out of the driveway and went down the street to a stop sign. Went to accelerate and the transmission banged like you rev’d in neutral and slammed it into drive. My wife said “oh, it has done that twice to me!” I asked her if the engine was up to temp and she said yes, so it is a random thing. Happening to anyone else? Feb/March build JL

How hard did it bang into drive or kick into drive. Also how high were the rpm’s?

Mine kinda does that but it’s very subtle. It happens when I don’t come to a complete stop. The Jeep transmission is slow to drop back into first, so when I slow roll a stop sign and then accelerate the transmission delays a bit and then gives a slight kick when the gear engages. If I come to a complete stop I don’t experience this issue.

Good point! Don’t remember if I was moving a little but I pulled out of the alley and right to the stop sign. Still should not do that

It shouldn’t, but it does. I try to come to a complete stop now. My Audi A4 with an 8speed transmission did it and my wife’s Honda Pilot with a ZF transmission will do it sometimes, but it’s a lot worse in the Pilot. The ZF transmission in the Pilot just sucks. Glad we don’t have any issues they were experiencing. Honda has had to replace entire transmissions and engines because of the issues they are having.

My understanding is these are not ZF transmissions but a Chrysler 850
