It all depends on what lift you go with for the height you will get. I have an AEV 2.5” on my 19 Sport S that netted almost 4.5” and I could definitely run 37”s if I want. I run 35”s and don’t plan on going bigger than that. I am loaded other than a hardtop. Metal front and rear bumpers, winch and frame mounted rock sliders and still netted almost 4.5”. This lift came with Bilstein shocks and I like the ride as a daily driver. This is with rubicon fenders as well.

Note, any shock/extension combination over 29 inches extended in front will trigger the need for a new front driveshaft. The Rocksports are 30" and about 31.5" with the outboard brackets, that's why MC notes the driveshaft requirement on their site.
It kinda depends on your truck.

I went with 3-4 in 5100s (about 28.5 in) trying to avoid buying a driveshaft right now, and it wasn't going to work on my truck at all.

I'd recommend planning on a driveshaft anywhere over 27 inches.

I normally use the 29" since it is Rock Crawler's published number.

When I was running the stock shaft and 3-4.5 5100s I did touch the slip to the trans skid bar before I replaced it, but that was because I lost about an inch of clearance after dropping it on a rock.

2.0L JLR? What was your hit point?

So, what about any other brand lifts like Rusty’s or Rock Krawler, rancho teraflex, any other brand people have expierence with? Scared to get a jks or something if Rusty’s, rock Krawler and metalcloak have bigger thicker arms for around same price.

JKS should be fine, they're owned by Fox and have a solid reputation.

I'd personally skip Rancho and go with a manufacturer that concentrates on Jeeps. Teraflex has some good stuff, but I'm shying away until the Wheelpros/Transamerica dust settles.

I just had the JKS J Konnect 2.5" lift installed, upgraded to the new Fox 2.5 perfomance series shocks, upgraded the drag link & tie rod w/Synergy, Fox TS steering stabilizer. Runs 35's with ease, no modifications needed. Ride is great!
