Reason the oil is hight is because of the accumulation of gas inside the oil. The reason for FORM in the first place.
Yah that was what I figured as well. Since this wasn't something I checked from the get go I'll just start over and get a good baseline. Thanks for the comments and knowledge.

I have difficulty buying that, unless there's something I'm missing.

All of the oil analysis reports I have seen performed on 4xes in FORM have shown fuel dilution levels in the 2-3% range. With a 5 quart oil capacity, 2-3% is around 1/10th of a quart. That isn't a significant increase in oil volume. The people complaining of high oil end up showing dipsticks that look easily a quart high... much like you'd expect if a dealer put in 6 quarts instead of 5 as they often love to do.

Here is what it looks like. It was cold, I took it out cleaned it, put it back in and out - this is what it looks like. On level garage floor.

I just spoke with a mechanic and he said it wasn't about fuel in the engine. He said it would be satisfied by burning enough fuel, enough oil circulated or adding 4 gallons to the tank.

I'm going to test the later now since I am half empty.

You have to remember, in a normal fuel injection vehicle, the engine always run, so by always be in, a regular engine will eventually burn the excess gas in the oil. The 4xe is different because most of the time the engine is not on and because of that is not warm enough to clear the gas in the oil. The 4xe Is really different then a normal car. This is why people don't understand why we have the FORM issues. One you do an oil change, they put enough oil. Once the engine run, the level get higher. Only logical explanation is gas in the fuel.

Welp. I added 9.275 gallons to make it full and that did 100% stop it. Back on electric.

Maybe Ill just keep a gas tank on standby so I can siphon it out and put it back in. LOL.

Your mechanic is wrong and right.

There are 3 triggers for FORM.

One is to prevent the fuel from going stale. If you go too long between fill ups, it'll force the engine to run. Requires at least 4 gallons of gas added to clear for this and is on approximately a 90 day trigger.

Another is for refreshing the spark plugs due to inactivity. Requires the engine to run for a short period.

The main one most people get stuck in is for fuel dilution in the oil. The computer is constantly calculating the amount of fuel in the oil. As it builds up, it'll first put you in step 1 of form which allows you to start in electric, but keeps the engine running if it comes on until the jeep is turned off. If more builds up, it'll lock out electric only completely. If it builds up further, it'll demand an oil change.

Not at all. Could easily be water in the oil, the dealer overfilled (which happens all the time..m look at all the posts on here showing 6 quarts added instead of 5), or simply showing high on a dipstick due to the poor dipstick design on the 2.0t.

What isnt logical is 1/10th of a quart of fuel in the oil causing it to measure a quart high.

I have purchase a Mopar 82215365 front grill cover and update my first post.
Will update as I see if my FORM issue happened left often with the grill cover.
I put the change in RED.

Well I start form yesterday lol. With the grill, my oil when up from 85c/185f to 100c/212f

I try to drive for 1 hrs this morning with temp over 95c+/203+f but still in form........

The good news is that the grill cover get my engine warmer, bad news it still take a long time, maybe up to 2 hrs drive to clear my form....

Are you trying to get it to run pure electric at that temperature?

If I remember correctly from last year, battery doesn't last that long at -12c, that was the coldest I was able to run pure electric.

I don't have a home charger, so if I cannot get decent range when it's cold, I'll just run the blended hybrid mode it goes into.

I only got the 4xe late November, so I wasn't too sure what to expect, and I didn't really document anything, I'll do that this winter.
