2021 Rubicon 4xe - 30,000km
check engine light, fixed with new gas cap
Broken windshield, not yet fixed ;)
Still loving it!
I do feel for the people who have had numerous problems - I wouldn't be happy either.
@JeepViking13 It's a fair point. I'm not going to blindly defend the 4xe. Of course it would be great if it had a greater range. I agree.
If in the next year or two it comes with a higher range model, still in hybrid form, I would seriously consider upgrading to that one. As much as I like mine...
Thanks for your thoughtful contribution to the topic at hand. I have read about the fear that people had in the early 1900's about the introduction of the automobile. It would seem that most, including you, have adapted to the evil horseless carriage. Electric automobiles are a relatively new...
You may have a point @NC31 regarding the supply and possibly the incentive. We did not have an incentive here in Ontario, Canada and I, and others, bought the Jeep 4xe anyway.
I'm surprised that the Wrangler 4xe sales are such a (relatively) high percentage of total Wrangler sales; 38%. I wonder how many of those are first time Wrangler buyers and how many are Wrangler owners who decided to venture over to the electric side?
Borrowed from the @JAY post about the Q1...
I was at a 26 degree Pitch, and having done that for the first time it felt pretty steep. (Though I felt I could have gone steeper.) It was hard getting out of the Jeep and even harder getting back in! The rear bumper nearly scraped at the bottom. Stock 2021 Rubicon 4xe.
Congrats on your purchase. Sounds like you are enjoying it.
This here=> Currently I'd say I love everything but the steering. I know my tires might be a little overinflated from the factory so I'm going to start there trying to correct it.
Will make a world of difference. I was surprised how...
I read reviews about the KO2 tires and I always wonder if they are the same tire as mine. I have found the tires to be excellent in the snow. I have now driven them in deep wet snow and deep powder snow and have always been impressed with the snow driving capability. I would not even consider...
As a follow-up, having read the whole thread => dedicated designed snow tires are always the best way to go, period.
I have just found so far, in the conditions I have faced, that the KO2s have been more than sufficient.
I'm a first-time Jeep Wrangler owner and I have the 4xe. (I'm only mentioning the 4xe part because apparently it adds 700lbs to the Jeep, which could help in the snow.) I've only had the KO2s that came with my Jeep. My experience in Ottawa last winter, including 40cms on one day was that they...
Wow, am I glad someone is looking out for the man's man world of Jeep ownership! Please post your list of the criteria for us, so we can evaluate ourselves against the "weenie" list. I can't wait to see if I qualify or if I have to sell my Jeep. Also, can you please provide lists for what...
Of course, in very specific conditions, the headlights could ice over. I would think that you saw many other vehicles with headlights that were iced over after a couple hours of freezing rain! I live in Ottawa and drove my 4xE with the LED headlights last winter and never had a problem with...
