Would love to hear what your favorite and must do mods are for someone that is new to the Jeep world!

Spending a lot of time in the forums and I'm probably missing some things. Anything from performance, comfort, and aesthetic upgrades

List of mods I've done so far
Tint
Weathertech floor mats
Stubby antenna
Bigger wheels/tires
Phone mount
Grab handles
Gas tank cap
LED headlights
Tail lights
Rock sliders with step
Dead pedal

In cart and ordering soon
Mid width aluminum front bumper (haven't decided on brand)

Imo the redline tuning hood struts are a must have. I also really enjoy having the turn signal extender. I'd also look to add a screen protector to the head unit. Lastly a stop/start eliminator from Amazon. To me these are four must have day 1 mods (that you dont already have listed).

The 1st recommendation is locking hood latches. They don't make your Jeep theft-proof but add one more thing the thief has to deal with.

As far as my favorite mods:

1. If you have a hardtop, Bestop Sunrider for hardtops is at the top of my list. Open air is one of the best features of the Wrangler and the Sunrider makes it soooo much easier than dealing with the freedom panels. The Sunrider also becomes a great bikini top when the hardtop is removed.

2. Diabolical Slipstream. I love to have the top off but want to secure things in the Jeep when I go in stores, park at events, etc. The Slipstream makes a great, secure trunk space.

3. If you have a lift, Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders are awesome. They look great, work well, and make for a happy wife, happy life.

4. If off-roading is in your plans, my favorite mods for that are my Teraflex wheels with built-in deflators along with my on-board ARB compressor, tank, and speedflate hose system. For rock protection the 1st thing that you will hit often are the rear shock/lower control arm brackets so a skid for those is worth the $.

5. For a better engine and exhaust sound, I love my Injen cold air intake and muffler combination.

6. Misc. things that are just awesome are redline hood struts, Topys hoist hooks, and Quadratec front seat flashlight holder.

Simple but effective mod - seat gap filler. They stop stuff from falling into the hole of no return between the front seats and the console.

Are jeeps highly targeted in theft for the hood lock latches to be worth it?

Looking into something for inflating and deflating tires so I'll take a look at those!

I personally do no know anyone in SoCal that has had their Wrangler stolen but the Jeep Wrangler is currently the #1 stolen vehicle in San Diego. The 1st step in stealing one is to pull fuses under the hood. Making it a little more difficult getting to the fuse box could be the difference in the thief spending the extra effort or not.

Not sure these are must-do, but that's in the eye of the beholder:
  • Wireless CarPlay
  • Remote start
  • Protective film on door hinges (before it's too late)
  • Bypass aux battery
