Just to clarify, I'm pretty sure most (all?) of the posters suggesting an Angry Grill as a must-do mod were being sarcastic. Some folks like `em but most folks around here have an abiding and deep-seated hatred for them, so it's a bit of a running joke. They don't have any functional benefit, so even if you wanted one for some reason, they're certainly not a "must-do" mod.
Thank you, I actually liked the look, no functional benefit but the look is quite good. That’s why I have added in my list?

Did yours not come with that tool kit? Mine had a Jeep branded version of that in it from the dealer.

Can not stress enough that you should get the hood strut:

Redline Tuning Hood Strut

It will make being under your hood wonderful. As others in past have mentioned…should have come from the factory with them as standard.

I mean, if you plan on taking it off-roading, I would say D-Rings (or other recovery points) and a winch are a "MUST", but if it's going to be a road demon, really, keep it stock. Why put unnecessary features on it if you're not going to use them?

I wouldn't say it's a must, but probably wouldn't be a bad idea to purchase some form of automatic start stop disabler. Either that or there is a hood latch pin in the front of the engine bay, there's actually two there, but you remove one of them and disables start stop for free. Only downside is you have a hood open light for the rest of ever. I've come to terms with it and I don't really pay attention to it anymore, but initially it was a little annoying.

I've owned three other vehicles, and never done a single mod to any of them. However I bought the Wrangler I own specifically because I wanted to modify it, and take it off-roading. There's something to be said about driving 1 to 10 mph over crazy obstacles. ?

Edit: Turns out I was incorrect with my thoughts here, there are parts are manufactured between North Carolina and Michigan where they are based. Buy from red line tuning, they are most definitely made in the United States

Wow surprised no one has mentioned the hood strut!

Redline Hood Struts
As an added option, could always order from Alibaba / AliExpress. Takes a little longer to get here, but you pay half as much as you do in the States for basically the exact same thing.
$40 w/ Free Shipping Black JL Hood Struts from China

$34 w/ $6 shipping Multi-Color Options JL Hood Struts from China

(The links weren't working for me so I added a physical address you can copy and paste into your browser)

So you could order from Amazon and have it in a week or two, or you can save $60 and have it in 2 months. Depending what it is I usually prefer to wait the time and save the money, but everybody's different for different reasons.

I bought hood struts for my wife's 2020 Subaru Forester Sport 2 years ago from AliExpress and to this day I've had zero issues with them. They come with the same mounting hardware that you get when you pay a hundred bucks on Amazon, but you're basically buying them from the manufacturer.

What happens is A LOT of sellers on Amazon and Etsy buy stuff from Alibaba, and then mark it up so they can make a profit. I'm not saying that's true with companies like Red Line, but after looking up a little bit of info on the company, they're pretty much a buy and sell warehouse. No manufacturing going on there.

The table is probably where they slap their stickers on stuff made in China! You might laugh but major companies do that! And then you're paying an extra 60 bucks for a sticker with their name on it.

Redline and the stuff I linked to from China has the same mounting hardware. You tell me which is the better deal!

A great mod indeed! . . . but I sense the OP isn’t going to be spending much time under the hood ?.

Anyone with angry eyes that dares wave at me doesn't get one back. That's not a Jeep they're driving at that point.

I’ve only done two mods to my 2019 JLR, both of which I consider essential:

1. Longer LCAs that help the Rubicon drive better (it has been a loooong time, pretty sure they’re the MOPAR lift ones). Helps the jeep track better.

2. I deleted the muffler with a delete pipe. Really helps free up that area, drastically reducing the chance that I bash the rear portion of my exhaust on rocks. The jeep is way too droney for some though; I don’t mind it. Those who do mind drone can get high-tuck exhaust setups for more money (this delete pipe was only like $95).

These two mods were so minor I consider my jeep essentially stock.
