Is there any difference in the muffler delete pipes other than how it looks and cost? Is there any sound difference? This will be for my 2018 JLUR

I doubt it. I've only run the Dynomax delete, I think it's amazing. Great sound. Got mine used on ebay, you can probably find one in the classifieds here too.

No. They’re all just dumps. Just pick one with the best corrosion resistance. I went with the MBRP, it fits well with plenty of clearance, but it’s starting to rust fairly good. It’s supposed to be stainless but it’s looking pretty brown. It’s tucked up and hidden, so it doesn’t really bother me.

Surprisingly good sound for being both a 6 banger and just a muffler delete. Still very mild, no rasp. A bit of drone on the highway, but not enough to be bothersome. The biggest reason I did it was to get rid of the trash can muffler and free up more clearance, which I got.

I second the MBRP down pipe/ muffler delete. I have one and haven’t regretted it. I’ve driven it to Moab, South Dakota and Texas all from Kansas as the starting point. It hasn’t been obnoxious but, it is louder.

They are all the same and sound like shit, do yourself a favor and get a better exhaust if clearance is the issue. I hate my dynomax delete can’t wait to replace it, the drone is annoying.

I kept my factory resonator and then made a cut 3 inched behind that. I then welded on a flowmaster cylinder style muffler with a turn down bolted to the muffler that dumps before the axle. I did this for clearance purposes only but because I kept the resonator it keeps the drone down. I have a 4 door btw as it will no be possible with a 2 door. I also did a loop delete

Had the dynomax delete pipe for about an hour. My 3.6 was WAY too loud and annoying. The drone had my dog wonder WTF was going-on judging from the panic in his face. Drove right back home, took it off and reinstalled the oem muffler. Took advantage of the fact that my oem muffler was off to paint it black before reinstalling.

2.0T with the muffler delete sounds good. Swapped it more for clearance and weight savings, though.

i have dynomax delete and i like the way it sounds. it doesnt bother me at all. doesnt bother my wife either and she would certainly complain if it did.

i actually prefer to hear jeeps on the trail rather than total silence like 4xe. id like to know if something is coming the other way or just over the hill, if possible.

You guys running deletes don’t become cop magnets, with no “quiet” button to keep them at bay ? I didn’t make it 2 blocks on “Loud” yesterday before one started following me. Pushed the quiet button and he followed me for 3 turns before becoming uninterested. I seldom run it in town, this happens too frequently.

we're nowhere near as loud as a 6 liter hemi lol. cops dont even look twice at my jeep. my gt500 on the other hand...... i barely even notice my jeep any more.

also got a ticket for my old lightning powered F150 a few years ago. cop said he could hear me a block away lol.

I had a (1 of 500 to race) 69 GTX . It must have attracted every cop in the county. I tried putting quieter mufflers on it, they didn’t last 5 miles. I got on the on-ramp and stood on it to try them out, the cop that gave me the noise ticket said he heard them explode 1 1/2 miles behind me.

youve got bad luck man. or maybe that guy hated mopar lol. cops usually dont mess with muscle cars here in socal, especially old muscle. i had a LOUD bright red convertible terminator with out of state plates. i drove it like i stole it. when i got pulled over they would ask me about the car and just tell me to take it easy lol. not one speeding or exhaust ticket with that car. usually compliments and warnings lol.

That was back in the muscle car days, he knew I was hauling ass but was to far behind to clock me…. But I was getting a ticket for something .

edit- I got pulled over a couple times in my 54 Vette because the cops wanted to look at it. My wife had a gutless smog motor “Big Booty” Vette when I met her, attracted them like fly’s to sh!t, my 6 cyl 24 year older one could run with it ?
